  Really great MP3 player

| | See all user11's reviews (1)

Most of the people I know have iPods and the like, but when i decided to get one, this MP3 player was cheaper and looked better. So I got it, and I have no regrets. It's easy to use, if you want to play videos the screen is big enough to watch it in really high quality. The sound is perfect, and you don't really need to use the x-fi feature because the sound is already really superb. Also, if you fill up the memory space, there is an SD card slot to increase the memory even more. The software included is also great, I can put all of my music, photos and videos on the player with this really easily.

The only problem I have with the player is sometimes it freezes, and you have to reset it. But it's not a major problem as the player restarts quite quickly

  Good but...

I do love this player, it's really good. The sound quality is superb and the setup of the player is easy to use. It's great to be able to listen to music and show your latest holiday photos to your friends! It has a fantastic battery life and charges very quickly which is great if you're on the move. The Creative Central software that comes with it is fabby! It's so simple now to upload new music from a CD to the player and to Creative Central at the same time.

However, my first player was a bit glitchy and froze on several occasions, especially with I went to the FM Radio. It continued doing this until one day it packed in all together, luckily it was under warrenty so I returned it and recieved a brand new player.

  Great player!

I've got it and it's truly amazing :d the sound is indeed perfect for someone who listens to music occasionally (i mean, it's very nice but i assume you won't reach "full hd studio sound" with it :p). The x-fi feature is more than just commercial talk. It works, i've tested it with some of the songs i listen too and you really notice a difference with and without the x-fi. The music sound much clearer and you reach a broader spectrum.

The picture is also very nice. I've seen a few films on it already, including bolt, which has a lot of bright colours and looked really great :)

The ears you get with this player are also super (that is, if you like in-ears of course, i know people who hate those kind of ears :p) they cost about €50 alone in the stores here (in belgium), so that's really a plus.

This is my third creative and i'm very pleased with it :) i recommended it to everyone who's looking for a new mp3-player.

I have always liked creative, my previous MP3 players have been Creative and each time they become better and better.
Don't go for IPOD, the battery quality is rubbish plus you feel obliged to purchase all your music from I Tunes.

The look,
It is very small and compact in a stylish way, the buttons are easy to use.

The PC Interface
I have found the Creativecentral interface that you upload on to be rubbish. It is nothing like the easy to use previous versions and for some reason it doesn't upload any album art?
If you use windows media player you are sorted, all your album arts are imported.

Love the sound, you can really tell the difference using the X-Fi, you can hear music that you would have never heard without this use.

Video it great, the video convertor is pretty limited and seems to have a problem converting AVI & Windows media, if you have it use Roxio or a simular program to convert

Sd card slot included, which takes SDHC and standard SD cards, bonus

Overall i am incredibly satisfied with my purchase, i have had no problems so far, pure quality

But play didn't send us the memory cards (16Gb) and we ordered 2 of the players! The player itself is so far very good, not very loud but very clear. The software is very fast. Unfortuanetely some of the albums I put on it do not register in the "Album" folder or the "Artist" folder and I have to search for each song in the "All Songs" folder - which takes forever. This is the only reason it has 4*'s and not 5!

  good player

I've only had this for a few days but I am very impressed. Navigation is easy (and much better than any 'wheel' based systems cough cough). Sound is superb, and the earphones are actually very good, which is unusual for a bundled set.
The only issue I'm having is accessing the SD card. I bought this with a 16gb Play.com card and any time I try to access it it freezes the player and I have to do a soft reset. I've tried formatting the SD card but same results. I won't take marks off for this though cuz I'm guessing it's more than likely the memory card, and not the player, at fault here (sorry Play!).
I have only had a quick look at the wireless features and so far, so impressive.
File transfer is as easy as drag-and-drop, or you can use the bundled software which is okay (but installs a lot of stuff you'll probably never use).

Great sound, great navigation, great features, solid build, clear screen. Great!

No doubt this is a powerful piece of kit but to those who have bought this. Does it come with any memory card. Cos specs say it can handle memory cards, just wondering if it comes with any.
