Creative Zen Mozaic 8 GB MP3 Player (Black)

I needed to upgrade my zen micro after many years of good service, so i chose creative once more and i wasn't disappointed at all, easy to use plus i was surprised by how small the player is. The only sticking point was the software which leaves a bit to be desired, but it is by no means essential to the player, you can just drag and drop files using windows explorer. It also has a surprisngly good internal speaker which delivers excellent sound quality for the size of the device, absolutely recommended.

Avoid this player at all costs. It is truely awful. I bought one and have had nothing but problems.

Bad points.

1.It has to be connected to any pc at least 3 times before it is recognised.
2. It will only play tracks in alphabetical order (regardless of what way they are tagged).
3. Once you fill it more than about 2GB full the player suffers horrible slow down on all menus and causes your music to pause for a split second every 14 or 15 seconds (very annoying).
4.The software that comes with the player is useless and infuriating to use.
5.As soon as you get it connected it then spends the next 3 hours updating itself.
6.The video player function is an absolute joke as it does'nt seem to play any format of video properly regardless of how you encode it, even videos encoded using the bundled software end up having the audio and visuals out of sync after about 15 minutes.
7. The USB cable provided is too short (approx 2 inches long)

Good Points

1. The headphones provided are very comfortable
2. The sound quality when it works properly is quite good.

Overall avoid at all costs. Get a Sansa Fuze 8GB player instead. Much better quality and much much easier to use.

I bought this player 6 months ago & have had no trouble with it, it's got lots of features, great battery life, easy to use, small & compact & looks very stylish. What more do you want from an mp3 player?

Produces good quality sound, very compact and you can flick through next song to play/menu while you are listening to songs.
