  Very Good Product

I bought this back in 2009 on play.com for 100 pounds. I wasnt expecting what I got for my money. Very good photo taking if you have a steady hand and very good video mode. It has night mode so if theres not much light it will take great quality videos. Brilliant for Christmas time and Birthdays. Handy to carry around aswell. Would reccommend this to anyone whos looking value for money. It is now 148 pounds but still good value.

I would say this is a great buy,its not for the experts but anyone wanting to record everyday footage it is ideal, my only slight gripe is no camera lens cap and no case, but i would reccomend it for definate.

  Decent HD camera.

Excellent wee camera, I bought for the family. I would recommend buying a couple of batteries as they don't last too long.

If I had a quibble about this would be that it does not have a protective lens cap. Mine is kept in a dedicated bag so its not too much of a problem for me.

It is also about 4 seconds for it to start up, ready to record from flipping the screen over.

  What a bargain

Bought this for the wife as she is always having to borrow her old mans and boy it is good. For the money I wasn't expecting too much but noticed it had good reviews and I see why. I picked it up and withought a whif of the instructions (well I am awesome) I was filming then playing back on the HD TV. So if your wanting a bit of fun with a camcorder but don't want to pay over the odds this is the one, brilliant.

Great buy for the money if your looking for a new camcorder to update your old one. Play's nice footage back on large HDTV's and the SD card make's it easy to transfer footage to your computer's hard drive, the Toshiba Camileo come's with the HDMI lead for HDTV viewing and usb lead for access to your PC if you don't have a SD card reader on your computer. The camera is very user friendly for the average user and does the job great and the size is very handy as it's not that much bigger than an empty toilet roll.

Good but be patient for better

This is a good bargain camcorder which does struggle in the dark but if you are patient and wait for the H20 it is worth the wait as it will be around the same RRP but does 1080i and also is capable of taking 32gb SDHC card not like this that only takes maximum 0f 8gb SDHC!!!!!

  Great for what you pay

Me & my partner have bought this camcorder for our holiday in May. We didnt want something expensive and professional, just something to record holidays & special occasions so this seemed like the perfect one. Its very small and compact which is great. I like everything about this camcorder except the battery life which is very disappointing! It lasts about an hour if that so we have had to buy more batteries for when we go away. So if you buy this camcorder i would highly recommend buying at least two spare batteries!

  Things get better

Ordered Friday evening it arrived Tuesday morning. The battery needs an initial charge and as I was going out for several hours it was put on charge and left. After arriving home I tried the camera out. The results were pleasing, the HD quality is very good. The battery capacity is a bit small but what do you expect with such a small video camera. The way round it is to have several batteries (they are fairly cheap). My still camera has 12x zoom but the 5x seems good enough for video use.

I have ordered an SDHC card reader which is necessary for uploading to the computer (I don't like using the camera to upload). As I do not use MS Windows OS I was wondering if it work's OK with Ubuntu/Linux. It does, the files are .avi files so no problem. I use "Elisa Media Centre" software for running videos. I have also ordered two spare batteries and may order a battery charger later. Some reviews mention the lack of a carry case, I have a padded case which I made up some years ago for a compact still camera, the H10 fits in with room for spare batteries and cards.

I am very satisfied with the quality and the price.

Fantastic Price, Great Quality, Compact and Easy To Use!! I bought this last minute for a trip to New York. I'm not experienced with cameras let alone camcorders and this was just right for me. Easy to navigate, good battery life and good quality film. I wouldn't recommend it to people who are seriously into filming etc...but it's great if you just wanna capture memories. Easily transferable to TV or DVD with software included. Could do with a case being supplied but managed to pick up a cheap one elsewhere. The sound is clear and it also takes photographs but i didn't really use it for that. I also bought an 8gb SDHC card and got hours of filming in!
