 No Charge for New iPod Nano!

You're right that title is too good to be true.

This generation of ipod doesn't charge on non apple products such as micro systems, car fm transmitters and stand alone speakers with ipod docks. It will play the tracks fine but you get a nice little message on screen from the people at apple stating that it wont charge!

Tried it on various product that have no problem playing and charging all previous generations of ipod. Having recently purchased one of these lets just say that apple have left a sour taste in my mouth!

i have had no problems with my nano 4th gen. it charges on my mirco system. never had one before and im very impresssed with it. i love that shake shuffle thing on it.

 Great player, poor battery life

This sleek little player is a joy to use (as is every iPod) and is also very comfortable to carry around with you. It's so thin, you might thing it will brake in your pocket, but in fact it's quite durable. The only thing that I find annoying is that its battery life isn't so great and that you don't get a proper charger, except for one usb cable wich doubles for data transfer also. Cover flow looks nice, but practically it will turn on the backlight every time you turn your iPod around or throw it in your pocket wich will further decrease battery life, so you might like to turn it off. All in all a very good player, but Apple could spare us from the cost of buying new chargers. Even the cheapest mobile phone comes with one!
