If you listen on a bus, a train, or sitting still somewhere:
The audio quality is superb for the price. If you get a good airtight seal in the ear canal then you will appreciate the dual drivers. Complaints of "no bass" are unfounded. There is bass, but I think many people are accustomed to buds which have been tuned to enhance it. These are more neutral and tracks with ample use of sub-bass are not lacking.
If you walk, jog, cycle or simply move a little bit:
The clear and high quality audio is utterly ruined by massive cable echo. Most in ear-canal buds will transfer some sound up the cable to your ear as you move but these are the worst I have used so far. Apple's choice of cable is entirely to the detriment of the product function. The rubbery white cable refuses to simply dangle but bounces around like a spring, carrying every touch of fabric or skin into your ears with enough volume to be heard over even reasonably loud music. Horrendous, ear ache inducing and very distracting.
Three stars because I believe small earphones are intended for use outside, moving about.
