Sony E-Reader Lighted Cover

This is a great addition to your Sony eReader (if only my eReader worked properly). It ensures a good light (with 2 different settings), which doubles as a protective cover. The case is a nice black leather type that the reader fits into snuggly. Recommended if you have an eReader!

I realise I should have bought one of these babies when I got my Sony Reader...to date I have had arguements with people on planes who sit next to me and I want to keep the light on and the big one of course, is when I go to bed and want to read and the other half want to sleep.
The cover is much more substantial than the original jacket supplied with the Reader. However, it is much heavier. I read the various reviews before buying it, and sort of dismissed them when they mention the weight. But because the cover combined with the battery compartment, batteries and glass all add up, it is a noticable increase in weight, but certainly nothing to complain about when you weigh up the benefits delivered by the light.
There is two light settings - low and high. Low is still good enough in a pitch black room and have yet to find a use for the high level light. (Maybe you can flag down passing motorist if you get stranded somewhere!)
PROS:
-Great for night time reading and the left hand flap is good to block the light to your partner
-Great on the plane when the lights are out
-Great when it is low light conditions
-Better protective jacket
-Comes supplied with Sony batteries
CONS:
-Heavier than the original
-On low light setting, the light is not evenly distributed across the page
-Have to be careful not to scratch the glass

The only improvement I would suggest is the jacket has a strap or pocket where the glass light plate can fit into, or be held back when you want to read in normal daylight conditions. As when you open the book, the glass plate is always sitting over the Reader reading area.
