Sony CMT-EH55DAB CD / DAB Radio / Cassette Mini System

Bought this great mini system for xmas as a gift and all i can is that i'm astounded at how good it actually is. The DAB radio is excellent.Turn it on, wait for it to register the radio stations and you get crystal clear radio with absolutely no hiss! Every other function e.g. auxillary in, usb playback etc works like a charm too. Seen this on other websites at double the price! So if your after a simple, great sounding system for the kitchen etc then this has to be a serious contender. Also many thanks to PLAY for incredibly quick delivery on an item that was deemed out of stock. Well chuffed!

Having looked for a mini system with a usb port this one was the best I could find, even better PLAY were selling it at less than half price than most places.
Great sound, Forget MP3 players this unit reads cards from a card reader!

This is an excellent piece of kit - the manual and other reviewers have said it only works with Sony MP3 players but I tried it with plain old memory usb sticks loaded with MP3s and it reads these fine. Also tried a Creative mp3 player with no problems. Buy it!!

I thought the unit would be underpowered but experience has proved otherwise. Sound quality is good with ample volume. There is some distortion and lack of bass but only if you wind up the volume to the highest levels which should rarely be necessary.
It found DAB channels quickly with clear reception. USB slot is a bonus particularly as the remote control allows you to choose the music folders and tracks rather than the fixed order I was expecting.

What a bargain! The cheapest i found this elsewhere was £100. It also works perfectly with the play.com flash drive so despite what the manual says you do not need a sony mp3 player. It's a small system but packs a punch too. Really pleased!!!
