iAIntelligent Auto Technology is bascially the collective name for four detection and optimising functions which work together seemlessly and add up to perfect shots every time:
MEGA O.I.SMEGA O.I.S. uses built-in gyrosensors to detect even tiny camera movements and then shifts a lens in the opposite direction to compensate. The system is completely optical - it does not affect the CCD or image processing - so you get sharp, clear images without deterioration.
Intelligent ISO ControlThe system automatically raises the ISO setting (that is, the light sensitivity of the CCD) accordingly, allowing the camera to shoot at a higher shutter speed thus preventing motion blur.
Face DetectionThis new function detects faces anywhere in the frame and automatically chooses the optimal focus and exposure. It detects up to 15 faces in a photo, and automatically readjusts the settings if their positions change.
Intelligent Scene SelectorWhen the camera's in iA mode, the Intelligent Scene Selector senses the ambient conditions and automatically selects either Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait or Night Scenery mode accordingly.
