This is a very good piece of kit, I use it as a bedside clock/radio/dock.
Looks:
-It looks like a classic style clock radio, with the dark colours, it looks good, not cheap.
-The clock display(the blue round bit) is clear, and easy to see, and displays the important information.
Clock:
-2 Alarms, which can be used independently or together, you can set it to start the radio(FM or AM), ipod or Buzz. It is clear and has a snooze function(8 Minutes) and a sleep function(of up to 2 Hours)
Radio:
-FM or PM, quality isnt amazing but good enough for a normal radio
-You can have 10 Presets of FM stations and 10 of AM stations, although they cant be named
Ipod/Aux:
-several dock adapters provided for differnt size iPods(6 sizes)
-Aux input for other audio devices cannot be used as an alarm.
-Volume, next/previous,Play/pause butttons
Overall Pros:
-2 alarms is very helpful, you can have one for work days and one for days off!
-Speaker quality is quite good, not as good as a proper set of speakers but good enough, I put my iPod onto bass booster EQ setting and this makes it sound a bit better
-Charges your iPod aswell
-Sleep function
-Option to use batterys
-subwoofer output(havn't used this though)
Cons:
-controls can be a bit strange at first, theyre find once you get used to them though.
-The power cord is hard wired in, so if you want to run off batteries the power cable is still dangling there.
-Radio antenna isn't terribly long(about 50-60cm)
-Remote is small and easy to lose
-No date function, it doesn't store the date
-Finally, the most annoying thing is the display light, it has two brightnesses, one which is very bright and one which is a bit dimmer. There is no option to turn the light off, this is extremly annoying at night time, especially as I use it as my alarm clock. I find the remote standing up next to the screen covers up most of the light, but its still an annoying thing.
I use it with my iPhone 3g and it works fine, it charges it fine and the general usage of the phone is fine. It comes up with a message when you plug it in saying that the iphone can set itself to Flight mode to avoid any interference with the accessory. To this I just choose the No option. When you receive a text or phonecall the spakers do the buzzing thing all speakers do when they are near phones, but it only occurs when sending/receiving data.
I hope this was helpful!
