  Absolutely horrible

They are a good pair for the first four weeks or so but then the audio starts to slowly fade in the right ear, closely followed by the left. In a couple of months they're really not in mint condition no matter how well you look after them.

  Bad Build Quality

Great Headphones sound quality wise, shame they only last a few weeks before the sound progressively fades in the right ear.
Shoddy quality.
Sennheiser are getting a bit of a rep in my opinion of poor quality.

I work within the entertainments industry so having a good pair of headphones is vital, I bought these because of the price, after id purchased some 99.00 Bose In ear Headphones, The Bose ones are not a patch on these, Ive seen many people saying on here that the Bass is too loud etc, Open your iPod or MP3 players settings and change the EQ that is all that's needed to be done, they are perfect headphones at a perfect price! I thought they had missed the 0 of the end! nice build & clear sound.

  Good quality headphones

| | See all smartie101's reviews (2)

Pros:The Headphones have a good range of audio and can go very loud (113db). They are light weight so if doing exercise or just laying down, you wouldn't realise they were there. The bass is quite impressive for such small headphones.
Cons:The wires do seem to be not as secure as other brands (quite possible to loose some audio somewhere down the line) but there is a 2 year guarantee in which play.com will replace them if any problems arise
Overall a good pair of headphones :-)

  Great bass and gorgeous clarity

Going from Apple buds to these little marvels was perfection for my ears. Great price for buds with such crystal clear sound quality and deep bass.
5 stars from me. Brilliant buds.

  below avarage earphones

After reading some promising reviews about these earphones I've decided to give it a go and buy them. I think after using them for 4 months I am in the position to give an opinion on them. Lets start from bad points: major one is the fact you can hear wind/air blowing in your ears while you on the move (even when you just walk slowly), changing ear pieces does not help here. The annoying sound is really loud and distrubing - the solution to this would be not to move but this would just contradict the purpose of these supposedly "mobile" earphones. Next bad feature is ever tangled cable and finaly the sound quality, while the bass is OK if you want to listen to the classical music these should not be your potential choice. Now, the good points: solid build/design, good bass, low price. All in all I think these are below avarage earphones which enjoy incomprehensible to me hype.

  Poor quality

Have had these for a few months, and although things started off perfectly, recently I've come across a problem that seems to be all too frequent with these, in that the right side starts to lose volume, ending in complete failure.

As it is, look at the newer models, and avoid these.

Be careful if you've got a 1st gen iPhone

| | See all JamesD14's reviews (1)

These are great headphones BUT... they are not 100% iPhone compatible. The original iPhone has a recessed headphone socket and these headphones don't work with it... you will need an adaptor. This was not an issue with the original CX-300s which had a different connector.

This is no big deal for me as I'm getting an iPhone 3GS next week, but all the same it might catch some of you out!

  Great EarPhones bust quickly :-(

These are my 3rd pair of CX earphones. I have had a set of CX300 and a pair of CX400 and I love the sound quality but I have had all of those in the last one and a half years as they break very quickly and these CX300 MK2 are even worse! I have only had these 1 month and the plug has broken in half! I guess the glue has gone and then all is left is the small internal wire to hold it together so the next time I removed it from my iPhone it will die... :-(

I would make sure that when you remove it you put your nails under the metal at the bottom to prevent this as 2 out of the 3 I have had have all broken this way!

  Not that durable

Had these for 2 weeks and the right earphone just died during use for no reason what so ever. Shame given that they sounded quite good.
