Limit HS501 5 Way HDMI Switch / Splitter

For the price, you can't really complain, but you do get what you pay for.
The unit itself has clearly been built to a price, but it works, and I have noticed no picture degradation with any device.
The unit autoswitches fine with my Sky HD, xbox360, PS3 and HDD media box, so no problems there.
The units achilles heel is probably the remote unit, its very small, so easily lost, plus its a little tempramental and won't always switch devices, and the buttons are a bit of a nightmare.
Other than that, for the price, no complaints

Works perfectly between my Sky HD, Xbox and Dvd player without the need for the remote control. Not sure why the power unit is needed as it works without it so have left it off for now.

No loss of quality as far as I can see so very happy as I nearly paid three times as much before being recommended this one

this device works well,i've got sky hd and a ps3 connected through it,
if i turn on the ps3 it switches to the ps3 perfectly, but the remote doesnt work at all

This is one of the best choices I've seen for adding more HDMI sockets to your TV. It auto switches with some device when those devices didn't on their own and having the remote works well as you can hide the unit out the way and just the sensor on show. Smart, practicle and does what it says. Only draw back was that it didn't come with either built in output lead or seperate HDMI lead for this purpose so you need to buy one on top of the ones required for the devices you are pluging in.

Compared to other switches I thought this was a bargain at 25 quid. Unfortunately the build quality is reflected in the price. Main fault is the remote control feature which only works when it feels like it. On the plus side I cannot see any picture quality loss at all and this will work unpowered and switch automatically if your hd devices switch the signal off when on standby.Both my sky hd and xbox 360 work pefectly through this device the only problem I have had is my Panasonic DVD/Home Cinema doesnt switch off HDMI signal even when just using amp features therefore requiring me to switch manually or continually stabbing at the very tacky remote control.
Overall this is good value but will be dependant on your own particular AV setup.
