Limit HS301 3 Way HDMI Switch / Splitter

Connected up to switch between Freesat HD box and DVD player, worked fine for about 5mins then picture went, tried different combinations and changed HDMI cables but basically loss of sound and picture quality so couldnt use, will have to look elsewhere, any suggestions?

Mine works automaticaly, i have Sky HD, a PS3 and X-Box 360 connected to it. Whichever has power coming from it, is displayed on the one HDMI channel, no need to mess around with cables behind the TV anymore - Highly Recommended!

I currently have PS3 and SkyHD box connected into this switch. The autoswitch simply does not work between these two devices. I bought this as self powers and I did not want another plug nor another remote control. There is a manual switch button but this slightly defies the point of buying it

I have bought the abouve item, and seem to be having an issue, I have connected all the HDMI leads but there is no sound coming from the sony sound theatre have set the PS3 to run on HDMI , but if I take the digital optical from the virgin HD box and plug that in it works, please can anyone advise what i am doing wrong

This switch is a wonderful piece of kit. Price great, Works a treat, and most of all it's automatic so you don't have to use the manual button. FANTASTIC !!! Child's play to fit. Just need extra HDMI lead. :-)

The auto-switching function of the unit failed after less than one day of having it. It seems that the problem may be that the unit senses stand-by power of a particular device and will not auto-switch to the device you have actually turned on. So if you have an XBOX 360, Blu-ray player, upscaling DVD player, SKY HD etc. all of which stand-by, you can see that problems will be created.
You have to go behind your TV and press the manual switch button which takes away half the attraction of an auto-switch.
It does, however, extend one HDMI port into three.

I needed a HDMI splitter to use my Sky HD box and PS3. I had been using another HDMI splitter which needed to be plugged into the mains and had a remote control to switch (it did not auto-switch), unfortunately every time I switched back to PS3 from sky the screen would be blank and I would have to unplug and replug the HDMI cables to get it back on screen.

So I purchased this device after reading the reviews and I was not disappointed. I immediately replaced the old splitter with this one and it works perfectly, I put sky in the first slot and PS3 in the second, so whenever I switch on the TV it is on Sky, when I switch the PS3 on, the screen automatically changes to PS3, and best of all it switches back to Sky when I turn the console off.

And the sound and video quality is still fantastic and now I no longer have to worry about another power lead.

Note to Buyers: You'll need a HDMI cable to connect this hub to your TV in addition to the ones you'll need for your devices. You can buy them quite cheaply online.

This is an excellent device.

I have both my ps3 and xbox connected to it and it switches between devices automatically.

I only wish I could connect my Sky HD box to it as well as that would eliminate having to use the input select button on my remote control.
Unfortunately my Sky HD box seems to supply power through the HDMI lead constantly, even when in standby. This stops the automatic switching from working properly. Although this is a fault with Sky HD not the switcher which is why i've given it 5 stars.

im guessing i need to buy another HDMI cable to run from my tv to the HDMI switch, then i can plug all my other HDMI leads into the switch.

probably should say this in the description really, as its not as much of a bargain when i need to spend another £8 on another cable. unless im doing it wrong? i dont know, it doesnt come with any instructions although it does look quite straightforward.

Great product, does exactly what it says it will do! Great price for an automatic switch!
