Just got these and there amazing! yes the price is a lot for a pair of head phones. but the power of music and deep base is just incredible! i consider anyone to get a pair of these!

First of all people need to realise that these headsets are made for music with good studio production and what type of music you intend to play. I listen to a vast range of music and some cds that have usually poor quality can improve drastically and some which will not improve. The best type of music for these headsets is hip hop I recently played Notorious B.I.G. life after death and kanye west and was blown away, these headphones release the very essence of how Notorious B.I.G. would sound in the studio the headphones bring out so much. They are also very good for other music and I think that if you are into music in a big way and do not want to buy a super stereo then invest in these because they are a fraction of the price and take music to another level.

I bought these a few weeks ago and decided to test them for a while before reviewing, the first thing you notice when opening the box is the high quality look of not just the product but the packaging also.

Monster pride themselves on wiring and sound exellence and these do not dissapoint, the depth and complexity of the sounds produced are something to behold. To get the best use of these you should use larger music files and avoid .mp3 altogether as this compresses the file and consequently you don't recieve the benefeits you would if you used CD files.

You cannot fault the aesthetic qualities, Monster and Dr. Dre have done a fantastic job of sculpting these and allowing them to fold away nicely into a compact carry case.

The downside, they do require batteries but I have only used one set of batteries so far and the weren't particularly high quality batteries. Also they do leak sound but lest be honest, if you have bought these of are considering buying them you know they are especially loud and you wouldn't really care about a little sound leakage.

All things considered I believe these to be the best headphones on the market at the minute despite the high price, which you won't be bothered about once your'e using them.

One of the largest wastes of money going at the moment. These produce a similar quality sound to a 50 quid pair of SkullCandy headphones. Totally not worth the money, you're only paying for a name. Bose, Shure and Audio Technica make so much better headphones!

Ignore the talk about these headphones being more of a fashion accessory than a proper pair of headphones. The sound is truly amazing compared to anything I have ever heard before. Bass is deep and punchier then any other 'phones I tried upon purchasing these. The mid ranges sound crisp and are not drowned by the bass in any way whatsoever. The noise cancellation does its job and block out ambient background noise (train or plane sounds disappear). Comfort-wise, I can wear these for hours without having any issues in terms of comfort.

As a package you get a very impressive set of accessories such as carry case, iphone/phone cable connection, 1/8 to 1/4" Adapter and a cleaning cloth. The build quality does not seem to be an issue to me as it seems well built and not flimsy at all.

Overall, the only gripe I have is that you need batteries to listen to any music regardless if you want the noise cancellation or not. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in a new set of headphones and has got the cash to splash. You really can appreciate the music in ways you never could before.

Having listened to these for a few days now, I would say I am rather disappointed with the sound quality. I was expecting rich high's, realistic mids and thumping lows but I was rather disappointed.

Depending on the genre, these would be most purposeful with rock, reggae, classical, pop. Hip-Hop, Rap, D&B, Dubstep on the other hand do not sound as good. Setting the equalizer to off, the headphones overpower you with lots of highs and mids, the lows are there but are very brief and dont really do the song any justice. Sounds like a virtual mosh pit. I would compare these headphones in the 100 price line, they are no way good enough to cost 200+.

Noise cancellation is adequate but could be better in my opinion.

If you want a good pair of headphones just for the house, get the Sony XB-700. The best headphones ive heard so far!

Just bought these yesterday and i can honestly say wow. to start off the design on the package in and outside the box is well designed. The headphones themselves are unbelievable, the sound quality is just amazing. WELL WORTH THE BIG PRICE.

These are something else. Music for headphones is completely different, every penny spent on these is worth it. My brother got a pair for his birthday, i tried them, and had ordered a set by the end of that day. You can feel the bass, and hear aspects of songs other speakers and headphones just dont appreciate. A must have for ANY music lover.

money well spent i bought the white ones as everyone i know who as a pair as it in black! the sound on these are out of this world!! well worth the money!! feel like im in paradise which time i am using them!!
