Price aside (it's still more expensive that an analogue radio), this cures many of the ills that have afflicted first-generation digital radios. It charges rechargeable batteries inside the radio, which is incredibly convenient and avoids the issue of having to retune every time you change a set. A single charge also lasts some weeks.
Sound quality is, at last, decent, albeit mono rather than stereo, while it seems less fussy about receiving a signal reliably than a rival and less than mediocre Sony set I wasted money buying a year ago.
Simple to use and without any major drawbacks, this is the best DAB I've ever used. For once, it is a portable set that could be described as 'portable'...
I'm still not convinced DAB that isn't 'emperor's new clothes' syndrome, but this has at least restored some faith.
