A friend had this and I loved it so much that I bought one too! I have now had it about 2 years and my remote control is still working fine. Very good sound quality and perfect for taking on holiday. The back is a bit bulky for packing but the detachable front is perfect for the beach etc. even comes with a spare european plug! My only complaint would be that when I bought mine it was 60quid, I am now looking to buy someone one as a present and it has gone up by 15quid :( it has made me look at other docking stations but I must be honest, I cant see anything else I would rather buy!
just purchased this from play, the dock itself is brilliant great sound quality. my only problem (and its a big one) is the remote, only the volume, mute and power buttons work, the skip, play, menu and the rest dont work which is a disapointment so now everytime i wanna change track i have to get up and mess about with my itouch. does anyone else have a similar problem? could it be my itouch i think its a 2nd generation model, the one with the built in speaker. i gave it a 3 star because of this problem otherwise it would of been a 5.
The sound is good when docked with base, but a bit light when removed - works with G3 iphone, best in airplane mode and the remote works all navigation on the iphone ie finding/changing tracks, volume, repeat, pause, shuffle etc. Also charges and can access all other iPhones functions while in the cradle and for under £60 - Bargain!
I decided to take a gamble with this as the price was just to good at least £20 less than the next best online and some places are still selling for the origninal £150.
For those of you with touch 2G this does work and you can select next track you cant however remotly change albums like on a 4G nano.
sound wise I was rather happy, I think it would get lost in a big room but I certainly wont bother with the stero any more. Being able to then remove the front panel so you have a portable speaker is such a great touch and it has already come in handy.
