Easy set-up. Reception excellent on the Isle of Wight with just the screen ariel. I have ordered a roof-top ariel but, based on current results don't think I will need it. It's a shame that some areas give such poor results because it puts people off having a separate DAB unit. My only criticism is the external wiring is a bit messy so you have to spend time and money (clips) sorting it out. But, hey-ho, for an outlay of 40sterling i am generally satisfied.

I got this for my birthday and it works fine,Crystal Clear sound and I have got 46 stations to choose from. Although I had to buy a Magnetic Mount Aerial VL 61112 from Pure, as the aerial included was rubbish.
Well Done Pure.

Great item, was up and running in minutes, only slight down side was that i had to buy a external mag mount aerials as the supplied one only gave me 1 or 2 bars signal strength. Now with the new aerial I have max signal every where i go.

  Perfect for me

I love gadgets. This is ugly but perfect! It does exactly what its supposed to do giving you DAB in the car straight out of the box and also hand held DAB out of the car. Fixing is easy as is removing. Everything you need is in the box (apart from 2 AA batteries so you can use as a handheld portable DAB radio). Perfect for me as I travel to Football matches and listen to BBC 5 live. The reception is awful and often unbearable on analogue MW. When I get to the game I can then take it with me to the game to listen to match reports at half-time & full-time - How sad is that!

  Excellent

Very easy to install and use. The cables are very thin, about speaker cable size, and easy to hide away behind the trim. was disapointed with the reception but I have a heated front screen which I think affects it. Also I live in a bad area for DAB. So I decided to buy the aerial upgrade for around £16.00.
The aerial is very small and neat and sits on the roof magnetically, and there is enough cable (4 meters) to run it from the back of the roof through the hatchback to the unit. Again, the cable is very thin and easy to hide away. What a difference!! full signal strength and doesn't drop the signal at all.
Thoroughly recommend getting this package. It saved me a fortune on getting a dedicated DAB radio fitted.

It is simple to install, a few minutes to get up and running but a bit longer to get the wires tidied up, about 15-20 minutes in reality. Make sure you read the instructions throughly first.
The reception is really good, very clear, the display tells you which FM channel to tune into first, the station you are tuned into and the usual scrolling text info from that station. The unit is easy to tune into the car's radio, it comes up as PURE DAB on the car's display when you are tuned in correctly, easy to plug my iPod or iPhone into for my music too.
Only real downside is that I live in a hilly area (South Wales), so when I go into a dip I do loose some signal but only for a few seconds, a minor problem but the clarity of sound makes up for it.
I've had this unit for a few months and overall I am glad I bought this, it makes my daily commute a bit more enjoyable, great choice of stations, easy to use, better sounding music stations, iPhone/iPod compatible and put a couple of AA's into it, slap on a pair of ear pieces, put it in your back pocket and you can listen to DAB whilst washing the car, nice.............

  Good piece of kit

I don't like local radio, and radio2 only caters for my music tastes very occasionally, so its wonderful to be able to listen to Planet Rock, Kerrang or Absolute as well as a crackle free 5Live.
Yes, it does drop the signal now and then, but usually thats due to geographical location (ie the mid-Wales mountains), so thats when I stick a cd in instead!
And yes, in certain areas you'll get interference from local radio stations, but its not a big deal to re-tune the unit especially if its mounted just to the right above the steering wheel (I've got a C4 Grand Picasso with a huge windscreen, so this is no problem). The arial wires will tuck away quite nicely behind the windscreen recess and with careful positioning the wires to the 12v adaptor can mostly be concealed.
My first unit did "die" after a couple of weeks, but I've had no problems with the replacement, and its great to have some "proper" music on the radio for once.
Works well as a hand held unit too, though battery life will be short!

  disappointing

Very poor product. Signal constantly drops out, causing you to have to retune frequently. Half of the time it is unable to even find a frequency upon to broadcast to your car stereo. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
