I first purchased this tv last year for 600 pounds on release after many reviews including What TV and HIFI magazine rated it 5 stars and one of the best 32" LCD TV's you can buy.

I was in the market for a new tv, i was going to spend a lot of money on a larger maybe LED tv, BUT when I saw this Sony KDL-32V550 for only 349.99 delivered!! I could not refuse getting a 2nd! The image quality is second to none.

The full 1080p 32" screen gives off wonderful clarity, contrast and colour when playing bluray discs and HD gaming devices etc.

The standard definition is very good also, but surely most people who buy this tv will be hooking up some form of HD device???

The connectivity is brilliant, as good as it gets. All I can say is 350 pounds VERY well spent. You will not regret this purchase at this price, get it while you can!!

Have purchased the 32v5500 together with the Sony DBV-360FS Home Theatre Blu-Ray System. For my room size - 14'x16' - and with a dislike for lots of trailing speakers, this has been a fantastic marriage. I admit I've probably not used half the features of this TV yet, but for my purposes and with only SD this has been incredible. Very pleased and happy to recommend. Only niggle has been the number (in excess of 12) of letters from Sony offering extended guarantee!!!

i brought this to replace my 32" sony s3000 lcd i wanted to upgrade because the blacks on my previous Sony weren't that good. AND let me tell you the difference with v5500 compared to my 2008 sony bravia s series is alest 50% improvement in colour depth, sharpness. picture quality is amazing and that's with only using standard definition, cant believes Sony have improved there picture quality in there lcds to the point that some SD material looks HD. Bravia engine 3 is a big improvement over my old Sony bravia engine 1. there is no colour bleed and no clouding this TV has too many features to list, i like the picture frame function and watching two channels at the same time, Internet widgets are a bonus but more off a gimmick, sound quality is a improvement over last years models but is average. overall this is a quality lcd and I've had a few. picture quality on all inputs is excellent and a tv should be judged on that. This lcd ticks all the boxes for the casual viewer and the gadget fan coupled by excellent build quality and a sony 3 year warranty you cant lose.

Received this fantastic TV today. Easy to set up. The base is easy to attach, stand is fairly easy to build and looks great.
The TV is very easy to use and the features this TV come with is great value for money.
Hooked up my PS3 & Xbox 360 - both look amazing in full HD (1080p). Sound is so crisp & clear also. Also plugged my laptop into it and it looks amazingly clear. Very impressed.
Plenty of ports on there to satisfy anyone who has lots to plug in!
I'd highly recommend this TV to anyone that wants a feature packed 32" TV that is Full HD.
I'd recommend to register the TV on Sony's website (a CD is supplied with the TV - it says only 1 year but the welcome email tells you about the 3year one) as it has a more up to date PDF file for the 3 year guarantee than play.com has currently.

On arrival TV looks very stylish, sleek and alot lighter.

Read a few comments from other Sony models, some customers were of the opinion that Sony tv's get delivered 4-6 weeks after being told it would be delivered which worried me. But after being notified of delivery on the friday, i got the tv on the monday! Superb service!!
The free stand included in the price (£99 on its own) was not only great value but saved me time in searching for a stand that complimented the TV and the black glass does that superbly.
It took me 10mins to assemble the stand and less than 5mins to attach the base on the TV.
The TV setup itself is so simple a child could do it, in 10mins i had it completed and had scanned and installed my digital channels with the built in freeview.
The picture quality is very impressive indeed, vibrant colours with options to improve your picture quality if filmed in dark lighting.
I hooked my Playstation3 up to the tv and the picture quality with its full HD (No down scaling) was mind-blowing after being set in the Theatre mode.Options include:

Theatre: Same picture size and quality as cinema, surround sound
Game : Game Console PS3 etc, A+ graphics in 1080p Full Hd
and Dolby surround sound.
General and Auto: For TV channels.
Graphics : For viewing text, graphs etc.
Sport : Enhanced colour and sound like live event.
