  Really Great Headphones!

Had previously only used Sennheiser headphones and had purchased the Sennheiser CX300 II Precision ECO phones from Play which sounded great. However, their build quality was very poor as the right earpiece kept failing. After two pairs decided to go for these Sony X-Bass phones after reading the good reviews here. When I got them I plugged them into my phone and was really disappointed with the bass, volume and overall sound quality. Was about to return them to Play and ask for a refund when I decided to try them in my iPod. The difference was astounding! Wonderful clarity of sound, warm, powerful bass but not at the expense of mid-range or top-end which also sounds excellent. I am using the large ear buds which seem to fit very snugly and do cancel a lot of background noise out. Volume is very good so you don't need MP3 player turned up full which is good. Even at high volume there is no distortion. For less than 17 quid these Sonys are a real bargain and I would definitely recommend them. All I would say is that to get the most out of these headphones you should probably use them in an iPod or decent MP3 player/phone. I can't comment on long term reliabilty as I've only just got them but build quality seems good.

  Pretty Damn Good

I got these a few weeks ago when my old sony's gave up the ghost after a year or two of loyal service.
Delivery was nice and quick, the only issue was the massive box they packed a small item it. Save the planet Play!

These headphones are top quality. Ive always had sony and these dont dissapoint. The bass is really good, as is the sound quality. Although they arent described as noise cancelling, they fit well in my ears and I dont need my volume up too high to be able to block out most background noise. The buds themselves dont seem to fit as snugly as my old headphones but that may be because my ear piece is too big, or because I pierced my tragus and there is something blocking it from fitting well.

All in all these are really good quality for what they are and I would recomend them to anyone.

  Totally Awesome In Ear Headphones

I have used lots of other headphones for my ipod nano and shuffle players including others by Sony, UE, Sennheiser, jvc, bose and these are the best by far. Look great and so comfortable in ear. On the Tube, in the gym and generally out and about they sound great no matter what you are up to. So forget the rest as these are by far the best ones I have ever purchsed, totally fantastic, bassy to etreme and Slipknot have never sounded this good on iPod before. Clear and with any other noises apart from the music. To top it all they are the equal length ear cords from your neck so hang straight down and don't annoy like some. They have an anti-tangle flat and durable cord and gold connector. For the money these are awsome phones for your tunes. You could pay more sure but why bother?

these headphones are REAALLY bass-y. The sound is excellent, really good SC. crystal clear range of frequencies.. the bass just blew me away when i plugged them in. really nice look too... definitely worth the buy. don't go for beats.. these are just as good if not better. and much less expensive.

  Quality, but bulky.

Before these I had bought the Sennheiser CX300's time and time again, but that was before they doubled in price.
These are good, especially for the price. Good quality sound, but for me they're too large. They fit, but they're heavy, and I feel they're often getting pulled down.
Good, but too large.

Tried many earphones, these by far the best for bass

For an in ear headphone, the depth and clarity of the bass are simply brilliant. Have tried many different earphones over the years, many Sony, Senn's, Skullcandy etc etc but these are 100% best so far. And for under 20 notes!!! Had them since August last year and they are still going strong. Can't recommend them high enough.

  Truly great value for money

I have had these headphones for a few days now and I am astounded by how good they are.
As the name suggests these headphones have astounding bass, but have good quality over a whole range of frequency.
The cord design is genius in my opinion, my headphones generally sit in my pocket whilst i am at college and i find it a pain to untangle them to ride home, these hardly get tangled at all.
The ear buds themselves are very comfortable, as i understand that sometimes with headphones of this type they are not always very comfortable or well fitting, however, these do the job perfectly.

As always, the price on Play.com is cheapest i have seen it anywhere so far, but for the quality they are easily worth much much more.
As for the durabilty, the design of the jack seems very sturdy unlike with other makes which has been an irritating problem for me in the past. These do look promising though.

If you are looking for a fairly cheap pair of good, well rounded headphones then these are certainly for you.

  Definitely worth the price

Got these yesterday and so after spending nearly two days using them I can say I am very pleased.
Play's service was good as usual, they were delivered the day after I ordered and I received them 5 days later all in perfect condition.

As for the earphones, I'm no audiophile but I know good earphones from bad and these are definitely on the good side.
Sound quality is nice, clear, with good bass and are fairly good at cancelling noise. I've tried all the buds and they fit well. Also the flat cord is a nice touch and doesn't get tangled easily.

The only cons would be that it can get a little uncomfortable after long use as it pushes very slightly against the back of my ear and the cord wont stay straight and, from what I can describe, makes these small "loops". These two are very small cons and its most probly just my ears and the fact that they are still new.

All in all these earphones are definitely worth the price, on par with my old sennheisers I reckon!

absolutely fantastic, especially for the price, very versatile and comfortable to wear. They play anything from death metal to dubstep beautifully, definitely buy!
