I love these speakers. Great bass balanced with a lovely treble and the 30 watts power is superb without any distortion. I use with my mobile phone or my laptop and it blows people away! I can take it to parties or BBQs becuase its so portable. Lovely speakers from Sony.

Cool Speakers - easy to pair with Sony MP3 Player and DellPC

Paired this with my Sony NWZ-A818 using a bluetooth dongle, and my laptop. Pretty simple. Good speakers, warm clear sound, easy to use; can use my mp3 player as a remote to change volume. For customer who wanted to pair with laptop, start bluetooth manager on PC, set speaker to pairing mode, and the speaker should find the PC. Then to play sound from the PC on the speaker you need to connect to the speakers again using the bluetooth manager on your PC. At 29.99 a bargain.

  Big but good!!

Bought this speaker with the Sony WALKMAN NWZA829KB A Series 16GB Video Walkman. It is slighty bigger than I imagined (yes the packaging is huge!), but build quality is very good and it looks modern. Incredibly simple to operate and the sound quality experienced so far is excellent. I was lucky to get it for the £29.99 price which made it all the more worth it. A very good buy for a bluetooth speaker.

  Bargain!! but..

Ok so i set it up very easily and it paired with my phone and laptop straight away but when it came to playing with my laptop it has not worked at all, wether this is due to the laptop and not the device i dont know.. any it worked fine with my phone and the sound is ok for the price remember its only £30 from play.. over all a good product.
(any tips for playing with laptop are welcome:)

  Fantastic product

This gives exceptional sound for the money, at £30 it's a steel but to be honest even at the more expensive price it is still a quality product. Good bass and treble and the Bluetooth works very well even at distance. I can't understand why a "disappointed Sony fan" found this product poor, are you sure you have listened to the right product? Five star rating.

Excellent product for 30quid.
Sounds are really good, nice modern look... not too big, but big enough to pound the tunes with nice (enough) bass..
pretty loud without distortion.. if i want anythign louder there's a proper stereo for that.. for what it is it really is ace.

Mobile phone connected in seconds and sounds great .. internet radio streaming is great too.. enjoying some internet streamed reggae radio, sat in the bank holiday sun in my garden with a beer right now in fact .. happy days indeed

for anyone struggling to get internet radio and connect their laptop/desktop via Vista (?) .. i connected in seconds and streaming internet radio no problems.. well chuffed :)
How to :
Enable and open both your Bluetooth connection and then search for the speaker from your pc's Bluetooth Devices.

The speaker should be showing in "Audio devices", connect/set passkey to "0000" (as per manuals instructions),

After that, in "BT Devices"..click "Audio" , look for the Sony device and then click "Connect".

Once connected, right click the "Sound/Volume Icon" bottom right toolbar, choose "Playback Devices".

Highlight "Speakers - bluetooth stereo audio", and then click "Set Default". Your audio should now play through the Sony BT speaker (instead of your computers speakers).

  do not expect wonders

The sound is not good really, more like average. And the connection via the lead suffers from audible hiss at higher volumes.
I will keep them because of the design and the price @29.99 is just about right for the quality.

If it's sound that your after, I would recommend buying a set of computer speakers+subwoofer from Logitech (under 25 quid) and pairing them with some bluetooth dongle, you'll get much better quality.

What a deal and it's a great product too!!!

For all the previous reviewers who have mentioned such ignorant comments as "Not as good as Bose!" or "Bit too large compared to my iPod dock" get a grip you weirdos!!!

Firstly, it costs a mere tenth, yes TENTH!!! of the price of a Bose sound dock (which may i remind you doesn't even have a bluetooth function!!!) and i must let you know i love Bose stuff and always go for high end stuff however this item is just too good to miss out on.

Secondly, it's bigger than your pathetic little Altec Lansing or whatever iPod docks you have because A: it's got better bass and B: it's better built and louder!

To review this item fairly you have to put the product into proportion as to the cost, the standard of the item and customer satisfaction for the money parted with.

Based on all these factors i truly believe that i have never spent £30 on anything better in my life. Superb doesn't even come close.

Connection was so easy and straight forward, good range on it, great sound (when you use an EQ - for the dimebars who said it wasn't!) and most of all it's a SONY!!!

I am that impressed i have bought two more as spares (and before you say "well if it's that good it shouldn't break", i am using mine in a summer house containing my hot tub so it is subject to immense amount of condensation all the time and i would miss it too much if i didnt have it) just because for £30 it is unbeatable.

How they can pay for the shipping, materials, development, labour and give play a profit too on this i don't know but well done Sony.

My fave purchase of the year! (2nd to my Audi A4 Cabriolet with Bose system in!)

  Disappointed Sony Fan

| | See all DealsOnWheels's reviews (1)

Unfortunately, this is very disappointing for a Sony product. Despite its considerable size, the sound that it produces is not very good - more average. Add to this any kind of bass from your output device and the sound is distorted with every beat.

Bargain price, but unfortunately the product is worth nowhere near its RRP of £99.99.
