Description

With the G10 series, you can enjoy sharp pictures, vivid colours, multi-channel sound, and various services with the interactive contents.

Even fast-moving scenes are displayed sharply and clearly. With a 50-Hz video signal input, 100-Hz Intelligent Frame Creation makes 100 frames/sec from 50 frames/sec. This increases the frame count to allow natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution. VIERA also uses motion focus technology that greatly enhances resolution.

Enjoy realistic starlit skies right in your living room. Improvements in panel contrast and scene-adaptive contrast gamma correction have achieved a high contrast ratio of 20,000:1. The backlight tuning area is also expanded to achieve deeper blacks. *When using Dynamic mode

It's easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects.

24p Playback
For a thrilling cinema-feeling at home, you need more than just brilliant colours and the highest contrast possible: like the cinema projector, the television should also be able to show films at their original frame rate of 24 pictures per second.

Saving energy with Eco Mode
To improve on the environmental impact of power consumption, Panasonic has introduced an Eco Mode as standard in most of its VIERA TVs. By activating the Eco Mode, a photo sensor measures the ambient light conditions of the room and the TV adjusts automatically.

VIERA Link Functionality
Operate your entire home entertainment hub with the comfort of just a single remote control. Through VIERA Link on-screen menus you have easy access to your movies, music and even videos* on your iPod!

This has got to be the best 37" LCD TV on the market. I have had it for 1 month now, so am well qualified to give a users opinion. I have it set up with a HD DVD (1080i) player, Blu Ray (1080p) player, Sky+ and Freesat (thus making use of the included freesat HD tuner!). Firstly SD: it depends on the channel. If the broadcast bitrate is poor, then no display panel can do much with it. In general however, PQ from Sky+ via Scart is very good. A friend of mine thought he was watching Sky Sports HD last week until I told him that I don't have SkyHD!! It was regular Sky Sports!
HD images are amazing. Blu Ray films are rich, clear and vibrant with incredible detail. Colours are realistic and deep. Motion is smooth, although I find that IFC set to max gives a little of the over-processed look...mid setting is much better. Blacks are very good for an LCD also!
To sum up...this is another fantastic LCD from Panasonic...the best LCD manufacturer in the business!
