I had been looking for a good pair of earphones for a while. After reading good reviews of these I decided that £14 was worth the risk. With the standard silicone earbuds they block a lot of outside noise, although I have not yet tried them on train or plane. The bass is quite impressive - very deep and detailed. Higher frequencies may be slightly bright but not overly so - perhaps I am not yet used to the them. I am hoping that the sound will 'mellow' or smooth out after burning in.
I am using them with my Sony NWZ-A818 Walkman with which they sound very good. Compared to the supplied earphones the Goldrings have much deeper bass and better stereo separation. Joe Satriani never sounded so good! They also block background noise far better.
These earphones retail around £40+. £14 has to be one of the best sonic bargains ever!
(Don't let the colour put you off. It is not very bright and there is so little of it you will barely notice it.)
Value for money

Had these for about a week. I use them mainly with my MP3 player in the gym. The piped music is rubbish and these just block it all out, so I can hear my music. Be careful where you use them as they really do block out outside noise and that could be dangerous.
