Ultimate Ears Headphones MetroFi 170 Noise Isolating

Well these blew me away for the price their offered at
They offer superb detailing through the bass to the mids to the highs picking up everything you can imagine and thought was never in the track before.
Ive previously used various skullcandy headphones and these will beat the quality of sound on them any day including their more expensive products and these are also worth and extra 5 quid as opposed to the senheissers.
I use these for live and studio purposes aswell and they offer great noise isolation which others struggle with, and lastly they are very comfortable to wear, with no signs of discomfort after many hours of listening.

Pros:
-Clear defined bass
-Good detailing and balance between frequencies
-Comes with a protective case
-Good length wire, not too long
-Copes with all types of music
-Comfortable
-High Noise Isolation

Cons:
-None i can think of, possible 'plasticy' feel, but arent all headphones?

i have to disagree with the previous review, ive had these for two months now. I gave them a day of music at a low volume to wear them in and after that they sounded great. Quality bass, mids and highs, comparable in quality to my sennheiser pxc250's, the bass on these being so much better!
Now that play.com are stocking these i would highly recommend them! The frequency response curve is impressive when compared to much more expensive in-ear sets such as those from shure. (search for these as they help when comparing earphones)

case could be a bit better quality!

i got these on a special offer of 9.99 but i would easily pay 20 no worrys, these are brilliant, my only criticism is that the smallest ear things still come out of your ear as they get squashed, still great though, sound quality is excellent!!!

Headphones are almost essential to me, I listen to music from my phone (Nokia 5800) all day at work at my desk and en route to work (walking and the train).

Negatives:

Power consumption: While just listening to music on low volume most of the day these actually caused my phone to loose a bar or battery after 1 day which I have never seen before or since even with far larger headphones.

Fit: the buds that come with the phones are very hard with minimal flex and the outside is very smooth. The net result is something that is uncomfortable to have in your ear all day whilst sitting/working and that and that either fall out completely when walking or fall out to the extent that the bass becomes non existent, meaning I was forever prodding them back in my ears - which first off makes you look stupid and secondly causes pain/irritation

Positives:

Had a fair few in ear headphones in my time and these are probably one of the best sounding when they are actually in your ears.

overall:

Sound quality just isn't worth the hassle and I ended up buying some new phones (over ear sennheiser HD228's which are great) after just 3 weeks of use.

I got these to try the ultimate ears brand, was gonna get the 220 model, but read a review that said there was little in difference in performance to justify paying twice as much. Since getting them this morning, have tried 3 sources, phone, mp3 player and laptop. I didn't even get to see how much bass or volume they'd take. Because the phones make horrible noise with normal settings, on all types of music, ie i hear distortion instead of bass. Gonna order different brand ones as these useless for me.
