These are quality headphones and well worth the price. Maybe not the bets for sporting activities but otherwise great. I was surprised to see the last reviewer say UE wouldn't replace after they broke. Mine broke after a year old and it was my fault and Logitech not only offered a replacement , Igot 120 pair at no extra cost.

Yeah, they were great earphones. Until they broke. Only had them for two months. Ultimate ears won't replace. Enough said really.

After coming from a pair of trusty but well worn SE210, I was sceptical whether the UE 5vi could match the high standards set by the Shures. I needn't have worried. The sound quality from these earbuds is fantastic, with crisp, clear high/mid frequencies and deep bass. Fit is also superb and the light weight makes them a pleasure to wear. So, why the 1 star rating? Two words, cable noise. Even when just walking, the feedback is appalling. Rubbing against a collar or cheek, you'll hear it. Tapping against a collar or jacket, you'll hear it. For a product of this price, it really is a shame that something like this spoils an otherwise great set of earbuds. So, if you'll be using them in the office or at home, you won't be disappointed, but those on the move should look elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, the sound quality of these earphones are amazing. You certainly get what you pay for, if not more in regards to the quality of sound.

A couple issues I have with these earphones is that the remote on the earphones lets you control whether to fast forward, playback tracks and pause for my iphone, which is great. But the one thing it doesn't do is control the volume. This means I have to carry the phone in my hand and change volume from my iphone, rather than tucking the iphone away in my pocket.

The other issue may just be me as I have very small ear holes, but the earpieces supplied with the unit don't fit in my earholes. The only ones that fit are the foam ones.

All in all, if it wasn't for the 2 issue I mentioned earlier this would be a fantastic buy, as I doubt you could find such good sound quality elsewhere for this price, but I could only give this item 3 stars because of the other personal issues I had.

  Make the Most of iphone

I have recently been given an iphone from my work, and used the supplied white headphones. These were not great sounding and kept falling out when riding my bike to work. I saw these on the Apple site and they looked perfect as they had the built in mic, thus enabling me to answer the phone and listen to music whilst pedaling to work. The sound quality is the best I have heard from in ear headphones with exceptional detail, and very tight bass, but not boomy like my old bose. I listen to all genres from trance to classical and all are dealt with aplomb. I found the foam ear cushions gave me the snuggest fit as they kind of mould to your ear, where as the silicone cushions did not fit as well, and specifically bass escaped making the sound more tinny. Make sure you get the right fit first!! Well worth paying the extra if your serious about your music and great for cycling or driving hands free. Even the cord is the perfect length, well done to Ultimate Ears who have clearly done their research.
