Ultimate Ears MetroFi 220 vi Noise Isolating Headphones

Bought these and am very pleased with the audio quality and Iphone compatility. Used to carry around a headset for calls and earphones for music and now have 1 product that does both. Have used many earphones in past with various results, these come with different size silicon earbuds so you can get the right fit and once done they are secure and dont fall out whilst running. Would recomend these - they look good as well !

It's such a shame I can only give this 2 stars. Overall the sound is pretty good. At long last I have a set of headphones through which I can hear the full track including the bass (if a little distorted at times). That is, so long as I keep my fingers on the headphones to keep them in my ears!

I really do not know what size ears these have been made for but it can't be for the average person. I have struggled with all three fittings, the large doesn't even slightly enter my ear canal, medium just about sits on top and the so called small pops out at every move I make.

I have tried every which way to get these earphones to sit where they are supposed to and after three days have now given up. Yup a bargain price compared to the usual price of these things, I paid 18 squid. That's still money chucked drain that could have gone to much better use.

Sadly, it seems my hunt for a decent pair of headphones goes on!

I will start by saying that these earphones are FANTASTIC so sound and comfort. Walking home from work hearing NO OTHER sound apart from my music is such bliss then hearing a police siren or people talking to loud in-between songs.

Now...

Why a two star rating i got these headphones SPECIFICALLY for my Samsung I8910 HD (next gen phone with the 3.5mm jack) as when you play the music through earphones it automatically switches to 5.1 surround sound. Upon connecting the earphones the phone registered that the earphones were connected BUT it thought i was constantly trying to make a phone call (as the switch button on the wire changes to call mode when the phone starts ringing) so in this case MAJOR compatibility issues as i can also see from other phone user reviews.

If your looking to get the most out of an IPOD then sure they sound pretty good But for folks like me that want to take there phone music to a new level email this company first before buying as i was let down when this didnt work

After reading reviews these sounded like the perfect headphones for me, good quality good mid level price. After opening them they're well presented and sound great, but... after a lot of trying they will not stay in with any bud type with any movement, never mind jogging I couldn't turn my head vigorously. It may be the buds are all too small for me but my Sony Ericsson Walkman in ear that came with the phone fit on the medium and small. I admit its a small fault but effectively ruined the product for me. Also on day one when pushing left headphone into ear sound cut out, so I don't have high hopes for longevity either.

I bought these when they were on special offer on Play almost a year ago now. I use them every day on my commute, and they get tangled up and tossed in my bag every day, and they show no signs of wear at all.

The sound quality is brilliant, an is always brilliant, even on a quiet train when I want to snooze, I put the music to very very low volume and you can still hear each individual part of the track. They don't try and fool you into thinking it's good sound by giving you shedloads of bass; the sound is rich.

I can't comment on the problems with fit. I found the big cups fitted my ears best and I get on well with them, but if anyone has a problem, buy some different cups! They're all pretty interchangeable (I've used Sony, Sennheiser and Shure buds with these).

If you want a well made, inexpensive pair of buds with greatsound, buy these.
