Doctor Who: 5 Inch The Master Figure (Classic Wave 2)

For a start, it's an odd choice to release this version of 'The Master' - He appeared in one single story and only wore the sash for a few minutes. Much better to have issued the Delgado version in my view.

Also, the sculpt just doesn't seem up to scratch in comparison to the other, far superior figures in this line. The face is a little bland, the cloak comes across as too thick and the pose is far too stiff. It's also a bit annoying that the cloak seems to have been moulded with allowance for the sash, so if you want to remove the ceremonial garment (as I do), it leaves the hood looking oddly placed.

One ray of hope is that the body beneath the cloak seems to have been moulded to look like the original Master's suit - Maybe the Roger Delgado version is planned in the future?

This figure is a great addition to this wave, it is a realy good sculpt and looks great without the golden sash. A must have for any dedicated whovians
