Harry Potter: Harry Potter Wand In Ollivanders Box

Yes it is made of resin rather than Holly, and no there isn't a Phoenix feather within. There is a great amount of detail put into this wand and it matches what you see and read about in the Harry Potter story. The only downside (as is the case with most 'Official' merchandise) is the TM logo on the handle of the wand, it detracts slightly from the realism expected. (i'm still not sure you can trade mark a stick, but there you go)

This is a great collectors item none the less and it seems like you own a part of the world from which it was inspired.

i got this wand for my daughter i was looking at exact same wand on another site which was £10 more plus p&p so this was good value when it came i was surpized its so much better and detailed than the picture shows lovely presentation box too would highly recommend to any harry potter fan great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wand looked real enough from a distance but the feel and touch lacks any authenticity because it is moulded. The weight distribution gives the feel of a plastic twig. The box is nice enough but again lacks credibillity. It was difficult to explain to my kid why a replica of harry potters wand was not really made of wood.

i am a great fan of all things harry potter and have begun to collect the wands. i think that this is a good replica of the boy wizards wand however it does have a very plastic look about it and the attention to detail is not as good as others such as voldermorts. the ollivanders box is wonderful and displays the wand perfectly and also gives you a great satisfaction because you have the same box and wand featured in the ollivanders scene! this is a must have for all harry potter fans but i agree it is not the best one out there.
