Not a bad piece of kit and well worth the money just for the entertainment value it provided everyone when I went flying a*** over t** whilst trying to jog on the spot.....a torn ligament later and we're still laughing at how funny my on-screen character looked when I stacked it. Funny times!
I think some people expect this to detect your movement in directions, and translate it on the game. No, you still need to use the nunchuk and hold it down in the direction you are going. Just to confirm, as some may be wondering.
I really like this. I use it on a few single player games and Table Tennis especially. I must admit, I am a fitness junkie. But Jog works really well - which I didn't expect really. Every time you start your jogging on the spot, your character moves on screen. I gave it a 4 star score, as I can see how some would think it is a bit of a gimmick. If you are looking to burn a few more calories while enjoying certain games, I really do recommend it.
Bought one of these last week as my children love the Wii. My oldest son dislikes the Wii Fit games so I thought he might like this option better, and he did !! My 3 year old loves to play the same games as his big brother and without the jOG he would run or walk on the spot anyway so now he finds it hilarious that his man on the TV moves when he does.
Anyone with a Wii should definately buy one of these jOG Motion Controllers and if you have children its essential... so, so funny watching them play their favourite games, walking on the spot and getting some exercise too.
I'm gonna struggle to find excuses for them to turn the Wii off now ... They are exercising afterall !!
So in my opinion its a very, very, very well spent £18...
The Wii Jog is really good fun. After a good 20mins i was starting to sweat as i was playing Zelda. It brings a new dynamic to the game, it makes you think about your whole body not just your arms. A great buy and something you must try out!
Total waste of time. Does nothing to enhnace a game whatsoever. All this does require you to run on the spot or a few feet either side whilst you are playing a game? Then it will measure what you have done. No more than a fancy pedometer. The fact you can use it with any title shows no software interaction whatever. Might have been good if linked to a sports title and how fast you ran was relevant to the what happended on screen.Just watch the video to see how pointless it is! The Wii is awsome with numerous great peripherals. This however is shameful. Buy a couple of quid pedometer and get the same info. Very poor indeed!
