A family classic since 1945.it's the original Slinky! Juggle it from hand to hand and watch it walk down slopes or stairs. Slinky stretches, snaps back, and makes the famous "slinkity sound." Fun for children, therapeutic for adults!
The 'slinky' name was formed from the words 'steel' and 'graceful'. It was first founded by a naval engineer by the name of Richard James. James created springs to support and stabilise ships in rough seas. He accidently knocked one of the springs from a shelf and watched it walk down books and shelves. The inspiration was then found to create a fun toy for everyone! Slinky, everyone's favourite walking spring toy! Suitable for ages 5+
  • Original walking spring toy Every one wants a Slinky! Perfect for interactive play Therapeutic fun toy for kids of all ages Always retains its shape

Wow, ordered 2 of these for both my lads. When they arrived, I rushed up the stairs to show them what was involved. Wow first attempt, got half way down the stairs. I was met by these two faces thinking I was totally mad. Second attempt, almost made it to the bottom. I was left on my own to play....This brought back many happy memories as a kid, but I think modern kids find it boring.

You will love it when you get it but after a while it begins to come out of shape at the top and bottom. It streches really far and you can always find new things to do with it. At this price then the question i ask you is "why not?"
