Jumbo Donut Maker

This is the first review I have written. I don't usually write reviews but I was quite disappointed with this item. The item seems to be of good quality and the mini decorator is a nice addition.
The problem that I have had with the item is that there is no recipe for you to follow to actually make the 'jumbo doughnut'.
The three easy steps don't help at all.
Paying this price I would expect to have a basic recipe and to at least know the oven setting to cook it on, like the 'jumbo cupcake' mould have.
Overall great to get if you already know a doughnut recipe and how to get the quantities right otherwise you will get the inconvenience of searching the net for recipes that are difficult to find.

i got one similar to this one and its brill all you have to do is put a simple sponge cake mix in it and cook for about 25 to 30 mins on gas 5 , i used 8oz SR flour 8 of sugar 8 of margarine and 4 eggs and some cocoa powder if u want a chocolate flavour one and for the filling whipped cream with a little icing sugar to sweeten and just decorate how ever you want SIMPLES.....

I absolutely love this product and so does everyone who has seen the cakes I have made with it so much so I have been asked to make some birthday cakes for friends and family.

A previous review has mentioned the lack of recipe, however I just used a simple sponge recipe, 10oz caster sugar, 10oz self raising flour, 10oz marg and 5 eggs (with or without cocoa powder) (multiply up or down as required if you want a smaller / bigger cake) using the 10oz recipe between the 2 molds cakes just over half filled the mold, but was a perfect size for the end result. Baked in a fan oven 170 for 25 minutes. I then filled with butter icing, for the topping I used melted white chocolate and sprinkles (for the doughnut icing effect). I was so chuffed with the end results, definitely a fun alternative for cake baking!
