Silverlit's very latest version of their Chinook style twin rotor chopper for 2010, the new Gyro Tandem-Z, incorporates a sophisticated stability system for the best possible performance!

The impressive injection moulded rigid plastic fuselage is far more detailed and realistic than previously possible, featuring a sliding side door, drop down steps and a fully functional undercarriage.

Flying Toys Gyro Tandem-Z offers the helicopter enthusiast superb handling and the highest specification, using three channel wide beam infra red control, combined with a convenient pair of pitch and yaw trimmers cleverly built into the top of the transmitter!

There are two attractive colour schemes to choose from, offered on bands A & B, potentially allowing a pair of these military style choppers to perform precision manoeuvres in perfect formation.

The sensational new Gyro Tandem-Z helicopter is surprisingly stable for such a complex chopper, and may be flown in a remarkably small room by an accomplished rotary wing pilot.

A lightweight lithium polymer flight battery will keep the helicopter operational for up to ten minutes before returning to base, and can be back in active service again in less than half an hour, by using the portable charger provided.

Brilliant..After 20 minutes (& several slight crashes) adjusting the trim settings& another 20 minutes getting a feel for the controls, the Hurricane was a pleasure to fly.
I can fly it easily around the room, forwards, backwards & around corners & land it on a post card..(Landing it on my wife may be more of a challenge !)
Care is needed with the controler..the trim wheels are easy to un-set & the I/R signal is easy to block with the hands.
The hurricane is a well built, robust chopper..loads of fun..highly recommended.
PS..Can't wait to see if a 2 - hurricane combat pack is releaed !

Great fun. Interesting variation on standard helicopters.

The Twin Hurricane is definitely a good candidate for a beginner. Whilst not quite as robust as some other models, it flies well, with a softer sound from the twin motors than you get with the singles.

This model looks really great in the air and you should be flying it reasonably well within 10-20 minutes flying time. The gyro means it has good directional stability and the detailing is pretty good for a model of this type (though not completely scale-like).

All in all a good choice and a lot of fun.
