this item is fun for like 10 minutes my advice is DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY its been stuck on my shelf for months and ive not used it since and when i got it i wish i hadnt when it turned up
Awesome bit of kit, just got one from my buddy for christmas, it's really robust, it's had loads of crashes and it's been fine!
Only thing I will say if you do crash the cockpit cover can come off its locating pin, if this happens pop it back on otherwise it will up set your balance, also look out for fluff on the tail rotor, the tiniest bit will make flying very hard!
Enjoy!
i brought this product thinking it would be a good toy to muck around with in my garden.
it worked well for the first day, but the next day it would fly about 4ft then come crashing down
also the any type of breeze it flies off course
OK
If you're bored of your helicopter from simply hovering - here's a tip ... stick a little bit of bluetac on the front, just under the nose ... it'll then tip forward and this is how it gathers speed and moves forwards, rather than simply going upwards.
ALSO, if you're having trouble stopping it spinning, it's absolutely IMPORTANT that you TAP the trim control several times until you get it out of a spin... don't HOLD it down, as this will cause it to over-trim and start spinning the other way.
FINALLY, the controls ... you need to ease it into things ... dont go pressing full left / right or up ... ease it into going upwards ... then turn it left/right just enough to get it moving in that direction - pressing left/right fully will not help you.
Following this advice I got mine flying pretty well, especially outdoors in NO wind - it's made of polystyrene! Of course the wind will push it out control!
I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday..just as a bit of fun. He loves it, it flys well and makes a great little gift.
look its simple. If you like helicopters and have a bit of spare cash knocking around this is a brilliant laugh. don't be like the other people below in some cases, who thought this would be the ultimate peice of kit. its fun. its frikin funny to control but its ONLY A REMOTE CONTROL HELICOPTER. not the full size one these fools were expecting below. buy and enjoy. don't buy and its no great loss.
I got this helicopter at christmas and it was quality for the first day, however after many crashes it could no longer fly properly. This led to more crashes which put the chopper out of action. It's now been decomissioned as it no longer works.
is this actually a joke. It didnt once go off the ground just basically spun in circles for about 5 minutes then i followed all the troubleshoots and they had no affect on the spinning at all. a product that i would not reccomend
Trim, trim trim, asif it's ever going to get off of the ground.. Despite following ALL instructions and following them carefully the main bar above snapped, it spins round and falls to a disaster.. back propeller is weak and doesn't move very well, 17.99 for this? Sorry but it's probably worth 1.79. I recommend NOT purchasing this, however I have found other products like the Syma Dragonfly alot better and lasts longer, and guess what? IT ACTUALLY FLIES! unlike this garbage. For only 34.99 you get twice as much as this does.. waste of money. Don't buy it, it's a very disappointing (sp) product from play.com. ):
Great item, still good value now Play have whacked another £5 on. You soon get used to the controls. Fantastic fun, drives the pets/kids mental!
