Sure it's not the easiest thing to control in the world but for the money it's certainly a lot of fun and the fact it's so tricky to fly straight almost adds to the fun. With practice you can keep it in the air for quite a while and that'll be sure to bring a smile to your face and a glowing sense of satisfaction inside. I'm not a Jedi Knight but I imagine that's probably how trainees must feel when they start learning how to control the Force to move stuff around. Was that a stupid thing to say? Yes, it probably was but let that be an indication of just how much fun this little chopper really is and don't be put off by the poor reviews because it's less than £13, it's a RC helicopter and it actually works!
i bought it for my 13 year old son for Christmas. he was so exited that he must of pressed all the buttons at once. the toy flew straight into the eye of my mother-in-law (grandma). not only did it stain my carpet!, but we also had to spend Christmas in hospital. of course we can look back and think of it as a Christmas to remember. and it did hit my husbands mother so i guess there's no real harm done.
As soon as I received the helicopter I charged up the nicely manufactured unit with the supplied mains charger.
After the allotted time (and when the red light stopped flashing) I fired up the copter and it flew really well, it was not easy to determine the machines direction but it was great fun.
This was short lived as on subsequent flights it failed to gain any height and would constantly slowly drop whilst flying.
I am hoping the replacement will fair better as the pocket helicopter also sold on play is awesome in comparison with real ability and lasts for ages.
bought cos it was cheap, and like any mass manufactured product you've just got to appreciate quality is varied. Mine had two options, without the front weight it would fly into the wall within 6 uncontrollable feet; with the nose weight on it would fly into the wall quicker within 6 uncontrollable feet. I trimmed as best as I could and have experience of doing this with past RC airbourne vehicles Nice gimic, but perhaps spend more for indoors fun.
this is with regards kennuf's review; 'it flew into the wall, broke the propellor and is now ruined'- simple solution...don't fly it into the wall...if you fly into a wall what do you expect??? This is well worth the price tag!!!
