This is so much fun! I got it as a Christmas present for my brother but when I received it I decided to take it out of the box and make sure it worked!! Well it did and I have not put it back in the box yet!! I was at work when I first opened it and it was well funny whizzing it round the office!! Now everybody wants one!! We crashed it quite a few times to start with but soon got better. It really is durable! Have not tried to put any extra weight on it yet but will do. Oh and to the person below who is having problems charging...you have to make sure that the heli is turned off and the controller is on otherwise it wont charge. All in all a fantastic product and great fun!! I am going halvesies with a friend to get the shy challengers as they have laser beams on them to knock each other out the sky!! Cool! Oh and also thinking of making an air couse like in red bull racing!! Would be hil-a-rious!!

I work in a shop that sells a lot of these, in all honesty they are a fantastic product that is both durable and fun to fly, the recomended age is 8+ although im sure a person a few years younger would be able to get the hang of it. I'v seen some advice here to get the helicopter to go faster, it was said to put a drawing pin on the front of the helicopter, I would advise against this as some of the mechanics are housed in the noseof the helicopter and this can cause damage, instead try using blu-tack, it doesnt damage the helicopter by putting holes in it (wont void the warranty) and allows you to change the weight added much more readily. The helicopter itself is capable of being flown full pelt into walls and bounces off and is ready to go, and if it flys too high it will bounce off the ceiling rather than just crashing to to the floor like some other popular helicopters meaning it doesnt take long to get it back in the air after a crash. The charge time is around 15-20 minutes realisticly giving a 10 minute flight.

the only thing that tends to fall off is the tail rotor, they disappear every now and then but you get a spare one in the box so you cant argue at that.

With these products different colours tend to be of a different frequency band meaning if you wish to fly more than one of these at once you may require different colours.

All in all a fantastic product and I'd highly recommend.

brilliant little machine for straight out of the box fun
the reciever requires 6 aa batterys tho . (as this is used for charging)
charging time approx 15 min
and will run hover fly for 12.30 sec
which is very good for the money.
very easy to controll and has trim buttons to stop it spinning out of controll .
its easy to use and you can be flying with confidence in a few mins.
excellent value for money and a toy that will keep you amused for weeks

 Starts well but doesnt last

Flys well, looks cheap in the box when it arrives. Lasts a week before refusing to charge. Fantastic, NOT! Don't waste your money on a cheap ornament such as this.

Don't be mislead by the pictures or the video...

...the build quality of what you see there and what you receive may be totally different.

I received the box today and the Helicopter does not have a plastic moulded body as displayed here or even on their own box.

To be fair, on the version I have is a sticker "Lightest Weigh Ever!"

Lightest weigh ever? Well sure, it will be if you use light polystyrene. It just has me concerned as it looks like it may have a low Tensile Yield Strength. You can get different grades of polystyrene and this looks not so compact nor as strong; possibly for lighter weight and better aerodynamics? We will have to wait and see.

It's body instead is constructed in plain white (uncoloured) polystyrene. Just like the stuff you find inside packing with your TV etc, only this is adorned with a few stickers and a bit of black paint for the window. You can even see the wings, again polystyrene, glued onto the body. It all looks pretty cheap and suspicious. If you paid the RRP, I know I would be.

This review is on looks alone, as it is a gift for someone. Will update my review when they have opened it up and had a good play with it.

Would other people mind sharing info on their Picco Z Micro Helicopter, and which version they have? I'm concerned that this 'lightest ever' model is more about saving £'s.

Did anyone get an all-plastic model?
