The Twin Hurricane is definitely a good candidate for a beginner. Whilst not quite as robust as some other models, it flies well, with a softer sound from the twin motors than you get with the singles.
This model looks really great in the air and you should be flying it reasonably well within 10-20 minutes flying time. The gyro means it has good directional stability and the detailing is pretty good for a model of this type (though not completely scale-like).
All in all a good choice and a lot of fun.
Brilliant..After 20 minutes (& several slight crashes) adjusting the trim settings& another 20 minutes getting a feel for the controls, the Hurricane was a pleasure to fly.
I can fly it easily around the room, forwards, backwards & around corners & land it on a post card..(Landing it on my wife may be more of a challenge !)
Care is needed with the controler..the trim wheels are easy to un-set & the I/R signal is easy to block with the hands.
The hurricane is a well built, robust chopper..loads of fun..highly recommended.
PS..Can't wait to see if a 2 - hurricane combat pack is releaed !
