Rubik's Cube Classic

If you're looking for a cube to learn how to solve this will do perfectly.
For the speed cuber however this cube cannot cut at all and is very stiff. The proper application of lubricant does loosen it up considerably but it is still not favorable.

The benefit of this product will depend entirely on what you're purchasing it for!

The Rubik's Cube is a classic puzzle for good reason. Endless hours of fun as you attempt to solve the Cube; twisting it one way and then another, over and over again. The Rubik's Cube has stood the test of time and remains highly popular today, as it was in it's heyday. To those reviewers who have stated that the Cube is "frustrating" and a "waste of time", may I respectfully suggest that you are missing the point entirely. The Rubik's Cube is a puzzle. Puzzles are supposed to be a challenge. It if was easily solved, it would cease to be a puzzle and become an idle curiousity. A simple toy. If you put your mind to it, as I have done, the Rubik's Cube is solvable. I have learnt to solve it; the first time you make that final twist and the Cube falls into place, each colour in its place, is a great feeling. Invest the time into learning to solve this great puzzle and you will be the envy of all around you! A great party trick and unreservedly recommended. I am now working on solving the Rubik's Revenge Cube (4x4x4).... :o)

This is great, and thanks to the included booklet I can now routinely solve this which is something I couldn't do when I had one first time around ( yes I really am that old ). Also it's the only puzzle I can beat my son at so it's earned me some cool points.
This one seems to turn fine and is solidly built with the original Rubik's logo on the centre white square.

This rubik's cube, while well made, does not turn well at all. Needs extra lubrication. I would suggest avoidance. Completely unsuitable for speedcubing.

What do you expect from a rubik's cube? A lot of wasted time. It gets really frustrating when you think you can do it, but you just can't which wastes even more time in you attempting to complete it. Theres a couple of techniques that if you learn can help you to solve the puzzle straight away. If you get really frustrated though there are websites where you enter the position of every coloured cube and it tells you step-by-step how to complete it so you can amaze your friends!

At the end of the day, it's just a Rubik's Cube.
If you like Rubik's Cubes, this is good.
If not, can't be bothered to learn it, then don't buy it lol.

This is basically a very well known classical gadget which is also very well known as being very challenging, applying the use of your mind. This actual product is of a very nice and high quality unlike many other cheap ones which are available these days and break very easily. However, this is a very high quality item, which is the actual 'Rubik's' branded one and therefore lasts a very long time.

Furtheremore, I also enjoy playing on this very much too. It took some time to begin with, to get used to completing this- but then I managed to complete it quite a few times and it's a great gadget for when you are bored or want to challenge yourself.

Overall, I'd say that the actual quality of the product is very high if you are interested in buying one, however, compared to all the latest gadgets these days it can seem to be a bit boring for some people- but definately a great entertainer to begin with - It's so great that it's known as a classic and still being sold in many places even though it was released decades ago (that shows how good, fun and challenging it is).

Anyway, with play.com offering this at such an affordable price, what more can you ask for? It's GREAT!

Although I only used the cube for a month or two the new appearance soon wears off in a number of ways. Firstly some of the squares on mine are hanging off. The novelty also soon wears off, but I do pick it up and give it a go now and again, a cheap little gadget to fill a minute.

I bought some cheap, tacky one on holiday for 1 euro. It broke, so i bought another, that also broke.

When i came home, i had to get an official Rubiks Cube, I didnt know where I would find one though, then i found one on here.

I learned to solve it with the algorithms in about a week. My record is 1 minute 55 seconds.

Buy one.

I learned how to complete a rubix cube in less than a day.

there simple if you understand algorithms.

i was doing mine the other day and put it down at a mates house. he then had a party and now i cant find it. i think someone nicked it :(

i was having a convo about leaving a finished rubix cube in a car the other day before this happened. i was asking if it would increase the risk of the car getting broken into.

have to get another one now :(
might go for a 4x4 and 5x5
that will be more fun :P
