Pickmaster Plectrum Maker

This is an excellent device and makes good plectrums easily, but similar to others experience, the casting on mine eventually broke when trying to make a plectrum out of appropriate plastic.The break revealed that the casting was full of air bubbles, so inevitably not very strong. I liked it so much that I will be ordering another one,but just beware,the casting may be very weak! I'd give it 5 stars for the design, but only 1 for the build quality, but at 8 quid,it soon pays for itself if it doesn't break

Cut a couple out of the blister packaging no problem. Tried it with a credit card and it didn't cut it and now it doesn't cut through anything properly now.

I just got one of these today used the package to play with it as i didn't have cards :( the first two turned out good then it got stuck and i had to cut the next two at the top. My son gave me his old subway, blockbuster and and other card, i tried to punch one out the blockbuster card and found it really hard my son done it ok. I tried it again with the same card and got it after a few minutes. Both my sons tried one of the picks i did from the package on the guitar and both said it work really good.

I ordered this for my husband's birthday. He opened it and was delighted by the idea of it but it doesn't cut all the way through the plastic so you have to pull the card out and cut the end with scissors therefore defeating the object of the product.

I like the idea but the production of the product needs to be improved.

The device is good, and I made a few plecs from old credit cards, yes I did one with my name on ! However there is no warning on what not to use them on. I had the idea of making a mirrored one from a CD. Don't try it. I had to lean a lot of weight on the arm of the device and it snapped. It seems to be diecast metal and can be rather brittle.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. It worked well until about March when it split into two!

Very heavy and appears robust, however, the one we received was not fit for purpose and came apart within the first couple of minutes of use. It's not possible to use it wrong so I'm hoping this was just a one off faulty item as others on here appear to have had a better experience.

My girlfriend bought me this for Christmas and it's amazing. As a couple of people have said - the plectrums do get caught in the cutter and they are kinda rough at first, but the edges smooth out when you use it (which it says in the instructions) and you only have to push them through the gap if they get stuck.

I'm already looking everywhere for things to make picks out of (Subway loyalty card works well for transparent sandwich themed plectrums :P).

I bought this as a gift, so have not used it yet, but it is much bigger than i expected, very heavy duty and looks well made. Seems very robust, and up to the job no problem

I brought this product for my brother as a birthday gift.
The cards get stuck in the device, The product doesn't cut the pick properly therefor you have to pull the rest of the pick out, they are left quite sharp. I am unsure how other customers can give this 5*, maybe i got a bad one? Wouldn't recommend
