I have just been for my makeover this weds - 24th November 2010
I have to say, it was a good experience. We paid 25gbp booking fee, which was refundable.
We arrived for our 12 noon appointment, given a short questionaire which basically was asking what style of make up & what kind of photo's do you want?
We did have to wait after this being completed. But it wasn't too long.
We were then shown to the make up station. Asked what I wanted, and as i wasn't sure, she made a suggestion & said if i wanted a bit more on, then she would do that.
I was very happy with my made up look. Very very different to what I usually wear. I will say that after they apply your makeup, they do try their best to sell you what they've applied. if you do make a purchase, then this comes out of the deposit you paid. If you don't buy any makeup then they refund your 25gbp.
We then sat to have our hair done, and i had a suggestion from the lady doing my hair that as I had good shape to my hairstyle, then to just add some body, which was the best suggestion considering the end result.
I have to say that i didnt feel a million dollors due to my hair looking exactly the same as i went in, with an added bit of body.....but it did look great.
After more waiting about, we then went through to the studio to have our photo's doing.
The female photographer made us feel very at ease. I say us & we, i went with my auntie.
she asked to see our outfits, as we took 3 different ones each.
We had a great laugh durinig our photo session.
I will say the overall experience was good. the hard sell at the end was intense, but this outweighs everything else, and i wouldn't let it put you off buying this.
I did pay 150gbp for my photos (8) and they upgraded my free print from a d 7x5 to a 8x6 print, and gave me one of the photo's on a disc worth 100gbp! for free.
so i didnt think they were that bad.
