Had to get me the Luke Skywalker Lightsaber,
as I managed to get the Darth Vader on promotion,
thing is you cant just have one Lightsaber because thats just plain daft,
If you have a red one you have to have a blue one, that just goes without saying.
Anyway This one is way better than the darth vader saber for the folloing reasons.
+Sound is louder than the Darth Vader model.
+My Darth Vader model only had one Clash sound and this model has 4.
+Though red looks cool its a difficult colour to show in a lit room. this Blue blade still looks great in a well lit room.

It seems that other reviews of the sabers all seem to show that they have different sounds even though its the same blade, this is probly because though the blades are the same the removable unit that does the sounds and motions are different and it seems that its luck of the draw if you get a good one. but at the end of the day its a Lightsaber with Dam good effects. Its just a shame that the wife doesnt share the same opinion of lightsabers that i do.

WOOHOO! I'm 8 years old again!

So, why do you want this? This year I will be 40, and I'm guessing you're about my age too. You are, aren't you? I can still remember the magic of the original movie at the cinema; LIGHTSABRES! COOOOL! Well now I have one and you are JEALOUS! You NEEEEEED one don't you? But why? Well, let me tell you! In a darkened room, quivering with anticipation, I thumbed the real metal switch and as the lightsabre screeched into life, bright blue light flowing outwards from the hilt, it sat there humming in my hands, illuminating the entire room. I lost 31 years in under a second. OH LORDY, I'm a chuffing JEDI! An 8 year old Jedi! I rock! And so could you... How good is it? Well.... On/off/on/off/on/off/ON! Yes, ON! YEEEEEEESSSSS! The on/off light and sound is just intense, the clashing noise is pant-wettingly sweet and the hum and growl as you move it is totally cat-scaringly awesome! Having done a weapons-based martial art for a while I can honestly say that this has turned me into a Grandmaster! (Do you want some, Lord Vader? Eh? Do ya?) This is so cool that you want to just jump into your X-Wing and go kick some Sith butt! (You HAVEN'T got an X-Wing?) Even in the daylight this looks brilliant but at night it truly is the dog's danglies! I was broke when I bought this but the reviews made me do it, Your Honour! I had to have it! And so do you! So, why DO you want it? Coz it's AWESOME! Trust your feelings, Luke....

Good this light saber is !

If you like Star Wars your gonna love this ! Yes it really is as good as everyone says it is and no your girl friend / wife wont understand why you bought it or why you now want all of them! I now own the vader saber( which isnt as bright as lukes but then again what do you expect from the dark side?) and i got my son yodas and that one is really bright ! But anyway back to lukes . . . . this was the first in my ever growing collection of fx light sabers and i promise you you will not regret buying it . . . it looks great , feels great and sounds great . If there was anything negative to say about it it would be that the hilt is a little short compared to the movies ( yes i have checked and i am that sad ) but there are other variations that fx have made i.e Anakins from episode 3 which looks a little longer.

The best of the 3 available.

I've bought all 3 of the sabers available on play.com and suffice to say this ones the best!

Vaders makes a clashing noise when you strike it, and moving sounds when u move the blade.
Yodas just makes the noise when you move the blade.

With lukes you get 3 different clash noises, im quite sure theres a few different blade-movement sounds, and the power up/power down sequence is much faster and "real-looking" than vaders. It is substantially lighter than vaders which makes it easier to use and less cumbersome to carry :)

All in all it is the best available.

 Even better than you think

Managed to get Darth Vader on promotion and then asked for this for Christmas as you can't have just one lightsaber.

For anyone hasn't come across any Force FX lightsabers they are exactly what you always wanted from a lightsaber when you were a kid. The hilt is real metal and feels solid in your hands and is incredibly realistic. The blade contains 64 LEDs that light up sequentially when both powering up and down. The sounds emitted instantly degenerate anyone to being a mall kid seeing Star Wars for the first time.

This lightsaber is particularly good, I originally wanted one to compliment my Vader but didn't expect I'd prefer this one over the Vader. For starters the lightsaber is lighter and (unlike the Vader one) and the blade is a good bit brighter than Vader's. It also has more clash sounds, not an immediate selling point but once you have lightsaber fights it justs adds to the enjoyment.

Unlike some other sabers (notably the Windu and Kenobi ones) the on/off switch isn't over sensitive so doesn't get knocked off mid battle. It also doesn't have anything that sticks into your hand and is quite comfortable to hold.

Of all the lightsabers I've tried this is my 2nd favourite hard to beat the double bladed Darth Maul after all) and I'd recommend this to any big kid.
