this is realy a great thing to have and at £35 its a great price! a must have for any star wars fan. i got the luke skywalker saber insted of the darth vader one because on alot of the videos of these the red saber doesnt look that bright. and these things are quite loud aswel to what i expected so overall 5 STARS!

In many ways, the magic of Star Wars began when Luke Skywalker was given this blade by Ben Kenobi. As soon as its blue blade was ignited, it sealed Star Wars fate as one of the most popular epics ever on film. This piece just reminds you of the first time you saw star wars and the magical feeling it created inside. I remember being 4 years old, wishing that I could have this lightsaber. Well now I do.
Or as close as I'll ever get. only two things vaguely annoyed me about this lightsaber. One was the fact that the blade is non, removable. There are sites which give you step-by-step instructions on removing the blade, but I ain't a serious collector and I really don't have time to fiddle with this. Second is the instruction stickers they put on the hilt, when taken off they leave a sticky residue, but a bit of kitchen paper soon sorted that.
Now, the good points. First off, it sounds fantastic, the sound is such good quality, I especially like the changes in "hum" as the blade moves, spot on!
Secondly theres the hilt, which feels just like a proper lightsaber should, there's no cheap plastic parts there. The detail is something else, even when compared to the elite replica hilts, and they cost around £250!
Well, I could ramble on all day about how good this thing is. A good way of checking this product out is to look at some of the reviws on youtube. In fact that brings me to another point; Yes these lightsabers look fantastic, even in daylight, but in photos or on film they look exactly like the real thing, no need for special effects!
I got my lightsaber this morning (amazingly fast delivery btw, and it was well packaged)and have already ordered the Vader Saber, it'd be criminal not to.
Even If you're not a dedicated Star Wars fan (I don't count myself as one) you want this, just for the instant feeling of fun and pride you get from just holding the hilt. Be warned though, everybody else will want a shot too!

I ordered this late Sunday night, and it arrived Tuesday morning. On taking it out the box I was amazed how sturdy it felt, and how much weight it had to it, as I half expected it to just feel like a cheap plastic toy - but it didn't at all. I imagine this is how Luke's light saber really does feel, but as it's in a galaxy far far away, I can't phone and ask him (international call charges are expensive, what must intergalactical be like?).

Re: the brightness, it's very bright! Using the batteries that came with it, it's awesome, and in the dark it's just amazing! I recommend you put the batteries in then close all the cutrains before turning it on for maximum effect.

Overall, well, it's only £35, you know you could sell it for more on ebay anyway, so what excuse have you got? None really, if you're male and normal, you know full well you want this - no matter how hard you're trying to convince yourself you don't.

First of all, they are awesome, especially for fans of the films. The coolest thing to hold in your hand. I find myself still just randomly picking it up and turning it on then off, quietly saying to myself "sweet", and this is after having it for about 6 weeks.
The only problem is that if you look at pics or vids on the net, it can be decieving. The sabers arent quite as bright as how it looks in a photo. They are still very good, both in the light and in the dark, just not quite as bright as I hoped (although I do have high hopes). And before anyone asks, yes I am using fully charged, high Namh batteries.
Either way, £100 for this saber is a bit pricey but still an awesome collectable and fun big boys toy. £35 means i have no idea why you dont have one! The only reason i havent got 2 is because the g/f doesnt understand lightsabers and thinks its a waste of money, money we could use on other stuff (beer most likely, so its not all bad).

This is my second saber and i am very impressed with it, the sounds are cool and responsive, the weight is less than vaders but the colour is nuts, in a dark room (with both vaders and lukes powered up) the blue light is cast on everything and just over powers the red...just the creaking blade....other than that a must have saber!!!

Yoda's next lol

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars great saber

everyone should buy one just for the feeling you get when you open the box for the 1st time your like a little kid again with a new toy.
what can i say its a light sabre pure and simple probly the closest you will ever get to having a real one, the only gripe i have about it is that you should be able to remove the blade but you cant its attached at all times. nice and bright when lit great motion sounds and fx yeah just get one cos they arnt making them anymore!!
