Ok this came within like 2 days of ordering. I came home heard a knock at the door at my neighbour approached me with a huge box. She was like this is yours and suddenly i realised it was the saber !!! I ran off with it to my room trying to find batteries from any remote or controller in the house to try it out and when it turned on i creamed. And so i became a little boy again, chasing my dog hitting his little bum with my saber making the clash sound . I swear this is the best thing i have bought from here and great delivery service too, thanks play.

  It isn't a male thing...

Seeing all the reviews along the lines of "The wife isn't so amused" and others to that effect, as a faithful female Star Wars fan, I felt it was time to voice my opinion. I brought this with my birthday cash- I LOVE!!!!!!!! As soon as I got it, I just had to run down to shops to get the high power batteries. The only :( is that the labels on the hilt don't come off too easy, and one of them left some gunk on it. I haven't just brought these as some stupid collectors thing gathering dust either; I've ordered the Luke one, and I'm thinking of doing an onstage battle at the collage concert with these beauties!! Who says the men have all the fun?

  Its a lightsaber!!

Well, i think like everyone else, it is a wonderfully crafted, weighty peice of kit. It looks beautiful in the dark... Although not so much in the light when its on, mine sort of goes a pinky coloured which is to be expected i suppose...

Anyway the one flaw of this lightsaber in my opinion is that there is no on/off switch for the speaker! Im sad and like to wave it around at night, when its dark, but when you live with a family of 5 there will always be someone sleeping at 10... So i have to switch it off then!

Oh and for the people who said the speaker is puny, try rechargeable batteries, 2500mah kind! Expensive batteries but the speaker is hugely loud on mine now :-)

This looks and feels just how you think a lightsaber should! Looks great, sounds great, feels great.......... Only 2 problems.... Not for kids! My nephew was waving it around, i was looking scared! And the second problem was i have bought all of these so far, and being the mug i am paid the full £100 each!

Quite simply the greatest 'gadget' of all time. Whatever galaxy you're from, however far, far away...this will absolutely rock your socks off.

A great toy for anyone who was disappointed by the original torch-and-plastic-tube Star Wars lightsabres from the 1970s. I'm glad that I waited until my 40s before buying this elegant
weapon! The handle is a beautifully crafted and weighty replica of Darth Vader's personal weapon. The blade glows a bright crimson and the sounds are wonderfully atmospheric. I turn mine on and find myself muttering "Your powers are weak, old man" as I whirl it around. My only criticism is that the speaker in the handle is a bit underpowered and weedy but this is a minor niggle. All in all, a great value replica for die-hard Star Wars fans and a good laugh for the rest of us.
