The Surfer is one of marvels first creations, making his first appearance in 'The Fantastic Four' #48 in 1966. Originally an alien from the planet Zenn-La he agreed to serve as a herald to the space God Galactus in order to save his home planet being consumed by the world devourer.

The Silver Surfer is one of the most powerful superheroes ever created, being imbued with the `Power Cosmic' he is gifted with near limitless power. In addition to his godlike level of strength and the ability to travel faster than light speed, the Surfer can rearrange molecules at a subatomic level. This means he has the raw power to destroy planets or the subtlety to revitalize and heal the wounded.

The Surfer has become somewhat of an icon since his creation and will make his first movie debut in this years upcoming Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

This fantastically crafted bust shows the noble Surfer with his board in a classic pose, the dwarfed Earth acts as a base.

The online pictures don't do this justice.

An amazing bust, ever since I saw my mates one, I have wanted one, and soon enough will order it.

This is a very well sculpted bust. Finely detailed and an excellent addition to any collection of marvel memorabilia. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is the base which, in my opinion, could have been slightly better. Be warned though if you are buying this to display, mine came with a sticker containing it's number out of 600 stuck across where it has to be opened, which can't be peeled off. If you want to keep it as a collectable you may not be able to get it out of it's box. I managed to open the bottom of the box and get to it that way, and inside is a certificate with number on, and the number also appears under the base.
