This is the fourth tiny indoor helicopter I've bought recently (following on from a Picoo Z, a Fairy and a Bladerunner Black Ghost) and this one is my instant favourite. (Well, almost "instant" - see below.)
Like the "Fairy", to which it is almost identical, (but, of course, it has a much cooler name...), it looks the most like a real helicopter, which I far prefer to the big lumps of polystyrene that others are made from. I also prefer the design of the thin balancing arm it has: Again, I think this looks nicer than a balancing arm that looks like a stunted second blade, as sported by all previous models. The motor even makes a much more pleasing whine.
Most importantly, it's the best handling of the bunch, very stable and responsive. Also, the controller has a much better trimming tool than my previous models: It has a little twist-switch, rather than the normal two-button arrangement, and is quicker to operate.
I should, however, point out one MAJOR fault with the helicopter as shipped which I had to rectify (and that might be the problem experienced by others here whose Wasps just spin out of control): One of the two little struts which join the main rotor to the balancing arm was glued to its upper connecting joint. It certainly should not have been glued in place; it should be clipped on and allow totally free movement. Being glued in place it had a catastrophic effect on the machine's handling - i.e. it was uncontrollable and just span wildly for a second or two before crashing to the floor. I very carefully pulled the strut off, cleaned away the glue, and clipped it back on, glue-free, which is as it should be. If your Wasp just spins uncontrollably, check this out as you may well have this same strange fault which, with a little care and patience, you'll be able to fix.
