  Never grew a thing.

I bought one of these as a gift last year and never even got close to growing anything. The kit is quite good so if you can get them growing it would be great. The instructions are extremely vague and disjointed too, I know next to nothing about growing plants let alone chili's and was overall left very disappointed.

Little bit messy when I took it out of the jiffy bag it was sent in, think the pots or the compost discs were moulting but everything was still intact and looks rather promising. Bought it for my Dad for xmas, it's a perfect fun gift for anyone who enjoys growing their own food :)

A mate bought me one of these a year or so ago and we got some good hot chillis of them. Regarding the pots breaking, I grew mine in them to get them started then transferred to a bigger pot once they were going.
Best fun present for ages, and it got my kids into hot food too!

I got this kit as i like chilli's so thought i might give it a try, I have never tryed to grow any thing, and did not think i would get it right.
I planted it about 2 weeks ago and it started to grow, out of the 3 seeds i planted in 1 pot 2 have started to grow. Every day i check to see if its any bigger can wait to i have some chillis to try :)

I bought this as a novelty xmas present for my boyfriend who loves chilli's and spicey food. He loved it and the seed were easy to plant. I wasn't sure if the chilli's would even grow but a few weeks after xmas they began to sprout out of all the pots. The pots are quite weak/ slightly cheap but they are great to get you started. Can't wait until the chilli's begin to grow!!!!

Got this for my boyfriend for christmas and it does say on the box that it is intended as a novelty item, so we were't holding our breath for anything fantatstic, but we are both pleasantly surprised you get about 6 or 7 seeds of each kind of plant and all but one type have sprouted and are growing nicely on our window sill.
My boyfriend loves hot food and cannot wait to try them when they grow but i think he may have a while to wait just yet, the types of chili's that come with this set are very varied in heat types but apparently the tepin variety is one of the hottest chilli's known.
All in all the only dissapoint we have had is that the tabasco seeds didnt sprout but there is still time and because it was a christmas gift they were'nt planted straight away as advised so they could have de-natured whilst sat under the chrismas tree.
