What is all the hype about?

as usual it arrived very fast from play.com who have never let me down yet on sending out items fast, the powerball comes well pakaged and instructions which are very clear and after 2 trys on my powerball i was able to use it,
i just dont see what all the hype is about ok it is good for muscle building on your forearm but as for biceps and shoulders it doesnt do much,
its very uncomfortable when you get it going fast and it hurts my "pinky" little finger alot so i dont think i will use it because i cant see any other way of holding it,
i feel like i wasted £14.99 on this product because it isnt designed to be held nicely in your hand, its ok for a little bit of fun but after that it gets a bit boring.
this is only my opinion of the powerball, try one out if you want but i dont think its worth it and all the hype around it just seems to be hype, if they designed one to fit nicely in your hand so you dont hurt yourself then i probaly would buy another one but for no more than £9.99
ok.

At first its great trying to master the technique which will take a few hours, then once you mastered it and reach your top score you will soon lose interest. I hardly use it anymore.
Also after a while the gyro will wear out especially if you drop it and it will make weird clunky sounds and wont run as smooth. also i find the powerball unusually uncomfortable, its as if it hasnt been designed to be held in a hand at all.
awsome

Simply an excellent product. Like many of the reviews on here, all you need to do is get the hang of how to do it. It took me 2 hours, and I was getting really annoyed with it because it would only last for seconds - now I'm going for ages and my high score is 8251 (for now..!).
I really suggest you buy one NOW, it is so addictive and I just cant put it down. The only problem with it is getting the hang of it (which may put some lazy people off forever), and sometimes when you go to pull the string out, it goes wrong and gets caught inside the ball, and can take a few minutes to try and get it out, so 4 stars from me for this one.
Powerballs Full Of Fun!

I bought this Powerball and it is amazing. People tend to underestimate the amount of exercise this does to your arms. It targets you fingers, hand, wrist, forearm, biceps and triceps - intensity depending on the way you hold your arm and how long and fast you do it.
I got this to improve my arm strength to help me when I go climbing. My boyfriend also uses this when he doesn't want to do weights.
It is so easy to do, you just need to get the knack of getting it spinning and you're off! You can do it in front of the T.V. or when you just have a few minutes to yourself.
This one has a light inside it so when you spin the gyro faster the light gets brighter - I find the ones that light up tend to make me want to do it for longer and faster - and also so I can try and beat my boyfriends top score! :-)
Its definitely worth buying!
Trust me, i tell it like it is

when i first tried it, i was hopeless, cos i didnt get the hang of the movement needed to get going. i was tempted to give it away... after an hour of practising, i changed my mind! thanx 2 the powerball my forearms are now the size of tree trunks and the change happend in a very short space of time. However like all gym equipment its quite difficult to remain enthusiastic, so borrow if you can. Dont buy if your lazy!!
every one should get one

this great little device is brilliant for exercising, the info booklet gives you excercises to do which target specific muscle groups. To start up it takes a little bit of practice the faster you make the gyroscope spin the brighter the L.E.Ds shine try it in the dark!
Because you supply the resistance you are going to your limitations and therefore even after a small amount of time you can see improvements in your own speed
Fun Work Out!

I've got to admit, this has to be one of the most enjoyable ways to work out, my arrived this morning, i opened it up and spent about 30mins on it, 2hrs later i can still feel i've been working my arms.
It's a good work out and also a good laugh with ur mates, having a challange on who can make it go the fastest or who can last the longest...all at the same time making ur arms much stronger.
A great buy, ideal little gift and for £17.99 its worth every penny.
Pros' are the way to go

Top 100 Gadgets Reviewer
After trying a friends classic I knew I had to get one and it had to be one with a counter. Beware though the pic looks like a green ball but that's it actually glowing. It has a blue shell. It's basically the same as the Neon Blue but with green LED's.
This is the one to get. The Pro models all have counters and Neons have added leds which are actually brighter than I thought. Even in the daylight (not too bright) at low speeds you can see the lights, and in the dark it's excellent. I went for the green as that is my favourite colour. On the NSD website and from people I have asked in the forums, it seems that you will get around 200 rpm less than you would with one without the LED's, Unless you're hitting high scores this shouldn't be a problem. Especially if you are a beginner like me.
It doesn't take long to get it going and get a feel for it, only took me a few tries. It's perfecting your technique that will take a while. When I first used the classic It almost gave me little blisters and you will get them with Powerballs, but I think the grip on this is better as I haven't felt it rubbing on my fingers as badly. Might just be me though. Yo will probably have to give yourself a days rest from Powerballing to let your muscles recover and keep your hands blister free.
The digital ounter is a must have. It has different functions and can store your top score. If you don't beat your high score it will just clear the lower scores anyone gets. It can be reset at the touch of a button and will switch itself off after 40 seconds of inactivity, prolonging the battery life, which shouldn't need changing in a long time. You can also measure your rpm's over set times of 30, 60 and 90 second intervals.
Get one of these balls now, better still get two and do dual Powerballing. Get recoring videos of your runs and become part of the Powerball community. Great fun and exercise from a revolutionary product. Get yourself a leather pouch as well to keep it in good nick, you get two starter cords included. The Pro's are the way to go.
