  Doesn't really work...

Doesn't work as intended. If you slowly insert coins it *sometimes* registers. If you insert coins in a hurry, then most of the coins don't register.
Works as a jar to hold coins, but so does any normal jar...

Good device, works well enough, and can hold quite a lot! (mine got full the other day.. had about 190 in there)

  addictive

Anyone who collects change will love this gadget. Makes you want to save and so long as you don't put any foreign coins in it counts your money just fine.

  Mine couldn't count...

I had high hopes for this both for use as a 'money box' for saving and for counting loose change for exchange at the bank. However, I found that mine seldom counted correctly - even after resetting the counter to zero by the time I'd screwed the lid back onto the jar, it was registering 10p and then miscounted coins.

I tested the counter with 5 different sets of brand new AA batteries. Maybe I was just unlucky in receiving a faulty product but I was disappointed both by the quality and the erratic, unreliable performance - along with its inability to count - which rather defeats its purpose!

  Not bad little gadget

didnt expect to be over the moon with item, but when i got it open and started popping the coins in, i found myself hunting around for more coins, had no problems with it noticing coins, like someone said previous. T he only fault i have, is it simply isnt big enough, collecting jar should be longer so you can save up more. now i am going to buy one for my mum, and nephew. thanks play.

colin from north chingford. hello everyone. : )

do not buy this product, it cannot count

this product is awful, it cannot handle 20 pence pieces. when you put in a 20 pence piece it is pretty much a lottery whether it counts it as 20p, 1p or £1, therefore, meaning that the running total bears little resemblence to the actual amount of money in the jar

  NO PROBLEM!

I bought 3 of these as gifts and ended up keeping one for myself. I think it's a great product and as long as you don't try and force the coins through at great speed it is accurate in recognizing each coin and totals them up as well.

  A good way to save.

Great to know how much you,ve saved. The jar can't minus money from the display, so you are not tempted to take anything out of it. If you did you would have to start again!
