I was after a webcam to communicate with a friend from overseas. Having not been that impressed with the lifeless looking webcams usually seen, I thought this would be a neat item clamped on my monitor. I wasnt disappointed, the model itself actually looks quite good, although the one I received was a blue/grey colour rather than that shown in the photo. Once connected to the PC the red LED's light up to show when the camera is active, which is a nice touch. Its a shame they arent green though as the laser guns in the film shot green bolts!
Although bigger than a normal webcam its not overly obtrusive and when it isnt being used is actually a nice thing to look at. The only negative is that the USB cable could have done with being a bit longer and the audio lead splits off quite close to the USB connector. Finally while the clamp is strong, you might find that if you have a deep LCD monitor, the clamp may not open wide enough to fit.
