Indiana Jones, notable for his trademark bullwhip, fedora, leather jacket and being played by the exceptional Harrison Ford, was first introduced in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark, set in 1936.
Portrayed as an adventurous throwback to the 1930s film serial treasure hunters, with an alter ego of Professor Jones, he is pitted against the Nazis, traveling the world to prevent them from recovering the Ark of the Covenant.
With the imminent release of Indy IV: 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' in 2008 Indy is making a welcome comeback.

Hrmmm. This figure suffers from the restricting robe syndrome.
Pretty useless from the waist down (he won't be climbing into or out of any Wells of Souls anytime soon), but has some ok accessories (nice torch and shovel), and a nice sculpt.
The Terracotta horse isn't one of my favourite accessories, but I guess if they give you relics from Indy's expanded universe (the horse is from the Emperor's tomb video game), then we might see EU Indy figures as well (here's hoping for Sophia Hapgood).
