Star Trek: The Original Series Tricorder

Ok we all know about the phaser and communicator toys which diamond select has brought us , well now they bring us the tricorder which is i think the best out of the lot, my friend in america has one and sent me some footage of it working and it does look very good i have had mine ordered from play.com since may and i better get it within the next few days. Anyway if you are a trekkie buy it ,even if your not buy it is a great collectors piece

The biggest let down for this item is the poor voice recordings.

Some are not too bad but two in particular are hideously bad. Spock sounds like he has been on the helium.
The hand scan is a nice touch and the scanner sound is spot on. It's a toy so it will be plastic but then so were some of the props used on screen so I don't know what people expect of the price in regards to the materials used in it's construction.

Close but no cigar.

Please dont buy one of these. There just cheap plastic & not good at that. When you look at the picture it looks fantastic the screen is not gray its clear plastic with writing on it. The metal pieces are painted silver & bad at that. I dont know whos the voices are but there no one from srar trek. Also the strap is just a piece of plastic. I had mine sent from America. Ive been waiting since last year what a let down

You'll need to put in time and effort to make this look good......which I will. But otherwise don't bother.

just as the other review i "couldnt wait" so sent off to america for mine. please dont waste your money.seems to be a rush job, with a chipmunk for dr Mcoys voice. buyer beware.
