Star Wars Darth Vader Replica FX Lightsaber

Since I was a little nipper I always wanted a light sabre. I've had rubbish plastic ones, ones that were spring loaded, but all of these seemed to be a bit vapid and I felt unsatisfied. That was until I bought the Darth Vader Force FX light sabre and all my childhood dreams came true.

The attention to detail is faultless, it both feels and looks as it does on the film and the special effects are excellent (taken directly from the films sound effects). When you power the blade up you get the familiar whooshing sound and the hairs on your neck will stand on end. Every time I power it up it is like the first time I saw star wars and nothing will come close the seeing the blade light up and hearing the sounds as you move it about.

This is the closest thing you'll ever see to a real light sabre. Which ever one you get you won't be disappointed. If I had the money (and the wife let me) I would buy them all.

These are very recomended to any Star Wars fan, this will be the closes thing to holding a real lightsaber you will get. The handel has some weight to it and the blade is very sturdy(as long as if you dont wack it a geinst a solid brick wall), you will be able to have dules with them if your freind has one. Thay are also good for just putting up on your wall.

There's no doubt This is a cool thing to have. The power up and down light effects are suberb. The thing has a weight to it thanks to the metal hilt. The sound it produces are cool.In bright conditions though the blade appears to be neon bright pink But obviously being a "light" saber it performs better in a low light enviroment where the blade is the proper red colour it should be. so if you're filming a duel light your scenes accordingly.The only warning i would give is to those who are buying this for the purpose of duelling. It's capable of it but don't go over the top because you could damage the leds in the blade itself. Also if you're gonna film yourself duelling i would definately download the free saber sounds from the star wars fan movie site and edit them into your footage because otherwise you WILL hear the plastic blades clashing on playback. Master replicas say that these are not designed for duelling yet the clash sounds are only activated if you give these a whack! slight contradiction or a tech fault ?. The stands that come with them are quite a good idea for displaying them although they don't look brilliant when the saber isnt activated. If you have the money get the yoda saber too it's smaller but very cool. i might get the skywalker one when released that looks great too.

Ok short and sweet, everyone knows that all the lightsabers are amazingly cool and you should buy all of them and display them on the wall... FACT!

I'm not gonna waffle on about the handling or glow or as someone who reviewed the 'Mace Windu Lightsaber' said "plastic but leathery effect black bits on it" SWITCH ON BUDDY IT'S CALLED RUBBER!

Just buy this sabre coz it's gorgeous and belongs to the top hitting bad guy of all time!

Not sure what the differences between the two versions are as in the one named new version and the one that's not named new version. Maybe someone could find out and could make it a valuable insert to the specifications section on the 'New version' Vader Sabre?

Here is the helpful bit, all the sabers have a lot of chrome and metal work incorporated into the awesome hilts and these get grubby! But before you buff away with a cloth beware that the wire details on the Vader Lightsaber have a extra coat of clear latex that can be rubbed off if you are a little to hard with the polishing.
