This thing rocks. I'm still not perfect with it, but after 4 charges i feel like i'm getting there. I can't land reliably on a small coffee table yet, but i'm not far off it. General hovering i'm ok with now too.
Flying tip: don't waste time trying to slowly increase power and adjust the trim at the same time, it wont work. At low power its not stable. Give it some welly. I give it 3/4 welly and once it reaches ~5ft (i have 8ft ceilings) i drop the power to half to stop the climb. Adjust the trim once you're at flying height (4-6 feet).
Flying tip 2: once you've set trim for hovering height, remember that any tweak of the throttle means a tweak on the left / right control to maintain steady hover. This is complex to master, but thankfully it doesn't matter much as long as you have some space for it to wander about a bit. But it does look ace when you master it and then hand the controls to someone whos never flown it before!
Flying tip 3: its a heli, not a remote control car. It's a bit more complex to control, but if you just stop and thing about how it can move (specifically it can't really turn and fly forward at the same time -- or at least i can't make it do this). If you drop back to turn, go, turn you'll make progress.
It charges really quickly for a model heli, around 15 mins, and that equates to ~12 mins fly time which is impressive.
This is a model heli, it's got to be light enough to fly, and as such the plastic is thin, but its surprisingly durable. I would say it feels thin and light, but not really cheap.
I'm really impressed, and for this price, it's just a no-brainer.
Don't know what the 2 settings on the remote control do, i understand it's supposed to be beginner and expert mode. They seem to handle the same to me. It's possible beginner mode isn't as sensitive, will check on next flight.
